the Silver, I Sing the Blue - Lyrics Interpretation:
The song "Electricity" by The Avalanches has a line that goes "I rap the silver, I sing the blue". This line is a metaphorical representation of the artist's approach to writing and performing music. The word "silver" is often associated with the element of air, which is symbolic of communication and expression. Rapping, which is a form of spoken word, is a way of communicating ideas and emotions through words, while singing is a way of expressing emotions through melody and harmony. The word "blue" is often associated with water, which symbolizes feelings and emotions. Singing the blue can be seen as an expression of deep emotions or feelings, conveyed through the artist's voice.
The phrase "I rap the silver, I sing the blue" can also be seen as a reflection of the artist's personality or state of mind. The use of the word "silver" could imply a sense of ambition or drive, while "blue" suggests introspection or melancholy. The combination of both elements could represent a balance between the artist's aspirations and inner emotional state.
Overall, "Electricity" is a song that explores the intersection of music and emotion. The lyrics are driven by powerful metaphors and imagery that convey a sense of vulnerability and introspection, while also celebrating the power of artistic expression.

The way this song comes in, builds up piece-by-piece, and then finally hits is amazing. What a groove and what great use of samples on this song.

This band is a new find for me, and I've been overdosing on them. So many great styles and sounds, it's like having an entire collection of artistic variety in one package.

😍 IMHO this is their best track, it’s ethereal, sexy, and bad ass at the same time. Plus, you don’t need lyrics or very many lyrics for anything to be amazing, talk is cheap.
