Before this, they were a hip-hop group with the single album Rock City and the EPy El Producto. After a 16 year hiatus, they released their sophomore album Wildflower (2016), which was followed by We Will Always Love You (2020).
2. A defunct American surf rock group
NOTE: The former band actually got their name from the latter, as The Avalanches' " Ski Surfin''" album was known to be their favorite album.
The Avalanches was an instrumental surf rock studio group, active in the 1960s, which included Billy Strange, Tommy Tedesco, David Gates (later of Bread) and Hal Blaine. In 1963 they recorded an LP Ski Surfin', which was re-released in 2007.

The Avalanches Lyrics

Doesn't mind the rain doesn't mind the pain
Lone wolf where are you going
I thought you were supposed to be hunting
You say you can only rely on yourself
Are you taking care of yourself
Out in the wild my child
A Roaming gun out in the sun
Boots on your feet in the street
You thought you were invincible
Now the world's gone black
You say you don't need friends only bookends
You've got no hope for a companion
Isolation mental starvation
My mind is a scary place without a distraction
You say you can only rely on yourself
Are you taking care of yourself
Lone wolf
walking on the plains; this is a reference to a person who is trying to cope with personal struggles and challenges alone. The metaphor of the lone wolf in this song implies that this person feels isolated, disconnected, and self-sufficient. They don't want to rely on others for their support, and they seem to have a pessimistic outlook on life. The line, "You thought you were invincible, now the world's gone black," suggests that this person used to feel empowered and confident, but now they are struggling with depression and anxiety.
The lyrics also convey a sense of internal conflict that the person is experiencing. They are torn between the desire for independence and the need for human connection. They claim "you say you don't need friends only bookends," which means that they prefer to be alone with their books rather than socializing or making new connections. However, they admit, "My mind is a scary place without a distraction," which hints at the fact that they might be craving some kind of companionship or support.

So others can enjoy, here are the lyrics:
If she don't love me
What can I do?
Just put on my best, pair of shoes
Because
Oh, I'm me!
Because she said, he's the one
That thrill her charms
Honey lets go wrong
I just want to know!
Whats, wrong with me
Be in love with you...
Yeaaaaah...
9th grade had the jingles of the swinging rainbow jacket
Law slain go only Django
Snap he accomplished
That's where my props go
That's where my pops went
See my percentage is a pennant to the planet
Knock it out the ball park, Frankie
I should not tire this tire
To a better love, let the wings spread
It'll always come back, baby
Come back, shellac black, baby
A come back, flat black paint on a Chevy
If she don't love me
What can I do?
Just put on my best pair of shoes
Because, oh! I'm me
Because, oh! I'm me
Because, oh! I'm me
Never mind my tone when I told Pretty Tony
Listen to my tone, you ain't catchin' you a Tony
Award-winning walk when you running with a shottie
Why you running from us?
Why you messing with us?
We ain't got no guns, we just let the bears witness
The Grizzly, maybe Polar
You ain't ready, you ain't ready 'ready rolled up
Pulling a machete, cut the bamboo paper
And let's roll out baby
I just want to know
What's wrong with me?

The first part where the boy sings is from a 1950s album by Six Boys in Trouble which could be considered the first hiphop sort of on record. The Avalanches are like, a portal opening to entirely different kinds of music.
