The series was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions; the Banana Splits characters were designed by Sid and Marty Krofft; the series' sponsor was Kellogg's Cereals.

They need to something like this for modern cartoons
Edit: Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Nickelodeon, CrunchyRoll, PBS Kids, Disney Channel etc should get together and do a celebration of cartoons from 1990-2030 and call it 40 Years of Fun !!!

It's too bad BANANA SPLITS song videos like this never appeared on MTV or VH1. I remember MTV had a MONKEES marathon in 1986 to commemorate the show's 20th Anniversary. They could've had a BANANA SPLITS marathon for that show's 20th Anniversary in 1988. The MONKEES & THE BANANA SPLITS were very similar to each other.

Actually The Monkees did tour with another H-B rock group. The Impossibles guest starred during their 20th anniversary tour. Don't know if both groups donned their superhero costumes thou.
