A lot's been changing lately and I can't tell
There have been many changes recently, and it's difficult for me to distinguish whether those changes are within myself or in others.

I no longer want to waste my time indulging in self-pity and negativity.

That's keeping me from being myself
These negative thoughts and emotions are hindering my ability to be authentic and true to myself.

So look around and tell me what you want me to see
Observe your surroundings and share with me your perspective and what you believe is important for me to notice.

Maybe you're the person that you always wanted to be
Perhaps you have already become the person you have always aspired to be.

Why do you choose to embrace sadness and waste your precious time?

Looking for something that was right here all along
Searching for something that was within our reach all along.

I think we're getting it wrong, it's too bad
I believe we are misunderstanding something, and it's unfortunate.

When did it get cool to be so sad?
At what point did being sad become fashionable or socially desirable?

Therefore, pause and appreciate the simple beauty and joys of life.

I said that I would never get what I want
I had previously claimed that I would never obtain what I desire.

But I was only looking for a reason to flaunt
However, I was merely seeking an excuse to show off or boast.

I believe I am done trying to analyze and deconstruct every situation that arises.

Maybe it's impossible to know what it means
Perhaps it is impossible to fully comprehend the meaning behind certain things or events.

What's it like to be a loser, happiness abuser?
How does it feel to exist as a failure or someone who sabotages their own happiness?

Smiling at the thought of never living it down
Finding amusement in the idea of forever being remembered for a mistake or failure.

Does it matter if it's uphill, downhill?
Does it truly make a difference whether the journey or situation is challenging or easy?

I'm letting it go, I'm letting it out
I am choosing to release and express my emotions, no longer holding onto them.
