The Bandits Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We are here for you
Just to tell you the truth
Yeah, we know it's not new
But we're here from the start
And that'll break you apart - uuuhhh...
You've got to light a candle to be with me
'cause you know I am so high above you, I can't see
But if you put a fire in your window
I can show you where the wind blows
It's allright ...
Let's go, the wind has changed, it blows so wild
Now hit the fear and sing a song, yeah, sing it like a child
Don't you see, we are flying like batman
We are going to the promised land
It's allright ...
We're on the way to somewhere, we don't know
But the time will show us where we stand, where we can go
Don't you see we are burning like the sunball

Yeah, we like it when the rain falls
It's allright ...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to The Bandits' song "Like It" express a message of reassurance and guidance. The band assures the listener that they are there for them, right from the beginning, and that they are only telling the truth. Even though the message might not be new or groundbreaking, the band promises to always be there for the listener. However, the reality of this truth might break the listener's spirit. The line "And that'll break you apart" is a reminder that the truth can be hard to swallow, but it is better to face it.

The song continues by describing how the listener can reach out to the band. They suggest that the listener "light a candle to be with me," symbolizing the need to make an effort to connect with someone who might seem out of reach. The band acknowledges that they are "so high above" the listener that they "can't see," but if the listener makes an effort, the band can "show you where the wind blows." This line suggests that the band can provide guidance and direction to the listener, but only if they are willing to seek it out.

The song's chorus emphasizes the freedom and excitement that comes from taking risks. The band encourages the listener to embrace change, singing, "Let's go, the wind has changed, it blows so wild / Now hit the fear and sing a song, yeah, sing it like a child." The band also compares themselves to superheroes, flying like Batman to the promised land. This imagery reinforces the idea that by embracing change and taking risks, the listener can achieve great things.

Overall, The Bandits' "Like It" is a powerful message of reassurance, guidance, and encouragement. The band recognizes that taking risks and navigating change can be challenging, but they promise to be there for the listener every step of the way.

@PrinceNoru

Анна Ткач это "Бандитки". Немецкий фильм, если не ошибаюсь, 1997го года. Но с годом могу и наврать. Про заключённых женской тюрьмы, которые очень хотели играть музыку :). Очень милый фильм.
