They became more widely known as 'Bang Gang' in 2003, after the success of their weekly club night of the same name. They appropriated what was then a run down strip club, 'Moulin Rouge Down Under' in Kings Cross and begin hosting 'Bang Gang' every Friday night. D.A.M.N/Bang Gang rode high on the wave of the electroclash resurgence during 2002/03 and pioneered the now ubiquitous 'Mash-Up' style alongside other Sydney locals, such as Dsico that No Talent Hack. Just as fashion and style played a seminal role in the rise of electroclash, Bang Gang also shared a seminal link with the fashion world. Infamous upstart Sydney fashion label 'Tsubi' was co-founded by Dangerous Dan. Bang Gang's excessive party ethos and mash up style was an instrumental influence upon several international DJ's, notably Mylo. As such, Sydney in general and Bang Gang specifically are seen by many as the instigators of the Mash Up trend which tore around the world and is now played back to Sydney audiences by visiting DJ internationals. This international reputation was no doubt helped along by the release of successful Ministry of Sound compilations 'Mashed', (2003 - mixed by Ajax and the Wok Dj's) and Mashed 2 (2005 - mixed by Ajax and the Bang Gang crew).
Bang Gang no longer host weekly club nights in Sydney, but the international infamy and notoriety they gained during their residences at Moulin Rouge and Club 77 mean that they are still in demand. Their unique mashed mixing style and anti-fashion dictum are the source of a cultish, almost clone like following. Their infrequent one-off events in Sydney and appearances at inter-state Clubs usually play to sellout crowds. The Bang Gang DJ's also share strong friendship with Sydney artists such as The Presets, Van She and Midnight Juggernauts, and Melbourne artists such as Muscles and Cut Copy - (all of whom are now signed to Modular Records), with whom the Bang Gang DJ's and Tsubi/Ksubi share minor degrees of separation more akin to family ties.
It could be said that much of the fusion for Modular's early A&R inspiration may have been born out of the emerging scene and style that Bang Gang helped to vectorise.

Ladies and gents, here is an example of why citizens need 30 round mags.
ODDSBSIDE
Imagine ganging up on 1 young girl like that. It's pretty depressing in my opinion cuz the amount of brutality and how they treated her makes me sick.

No they don’t. They literally don’t need that.
Truth B. Told7
Disgusting and Shameful and certainly should not go with out reasonable punishment, unlike what most DEVILS want for these teens. As a Black Man and father i'm heartbroken to witness something like this. And I pray the poor girl is ok!
