Susanna Hoffs released two solo albums in the 90's (a third album remained unreleased). Vicki Peterson joined the Continental Drifters. Debbie Peterson had a short-lived career with Siobhan Maher as Kindred Spirit, while Michael Steele lived in semi-retirement in California.
The Bangles reconvened in 2000 and recorded a reunion album, released in 2003, on Koch Records called "Doll Revolution". By lucky coincidence(?) their single 'Eternal Flame' had since been covered by, and become a hit record for, Atomic Kitten which helped to rekindle interest in its original artist.
"Sweetheart of the Sun," The Bangles first album of original material since "Doll Revolution" was released September 27, 2011. The Anna Lee (Sweetheart Of The Sun) Songfacts states that the album was recorded in various home studios - those of Vicki Peterson and Susanna Hoffs as well as the Hollywood Hills home studio of singer-songwriter Matthew Sweet, who produced the record.
They continue to play live sporadically. In January 2018, they played their first show since 2016 at Honda Center in Anaheim. It also was their first gig with original bassist Annette Zilinskas since 1983.
Some Dreams Come True
The Bangles Lyrics

Colors that fade on my wall
Dressed up nowhere to go
It's all in my mind I know
But it's alright now
We're on our way
So close to you
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true
Lips move but not a sound
When the words fall to the ground
Eyes watch but seldom see
The possibilities
But it's alright now
We're on our way
Lay me down in the moonlight
So close to you
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true
When we're together
There's nothing we can't do
Maybe we're just dreamers
Some dreams come true
Moving in circles that we create
Seeing whatever we choose
Hear only voices that call your name
"Some Dreams Come True" by The Bangles is a song that revolves around the theme of hope and the power of imagination. The opening lines "I've seen the shadows fall, Colors that fade on my wall" seem to depict a sense of desolation and loneliness. However, the following lines "Dressed up nowhere to go. It's all in my mind I know" implies that the singer is aware of her own thoughts and feelings, acknowledging that her situation is a self-constructed one. This gives rise to a sense of optimism, with the understanding that if she could dream up something so bleak, she could just as easily dream up something more positive. This is further reinforced as the chorus says "But it's alright now, We're on our way. Lay me down in the moonlight, So close to you. Maybe we're just dreamers, Some dreams come true." This line showcases the singer's hope and belief that some dreams do come true.
The second verse emphasizes on the limitations of words and the power of imagination. The lines "Lips move but not a sound, When the words fall to the ground, Eyes watch but seldom see, The possibilities" highlights that imagination knows no limit, whereas language and reality put restrictions on possibilities. The chorus "Maybe we're just dreamers, Some dreams come true" again emphasizes on the power of hope and imagination. The bridge "Moving in circles that we create, Seeing whatever we choose, Hear only voices that call your name" shows how reality is a product of one's thoughts and emotions.
