The Warmth Of The Sun
The Beach Boys Lyrics

What good is the dawn
That grows into day
The sunset at night
Or living this way

For I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me at night
(Within me at night)
The love of my life
She left me one day
I cried when she said
"I don't feel the same way"

Still I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me tonight
(Within me tonight)

I'll dreams of her arms
And though they're not real
Just like she's still there
The way that I feel

My love's like the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
It won't ever die
(It won't ever die)

When I was a wee kid, I had a record changer, next to
my bed. I'd put my stack of Beach Boys albums on,
and turn the volume all the way down. All I could hear,
was the needle on the vinyl. No amplification at all.

I STILL remember this one. And, In My Room. Surfer
Girl was a bit bubblegum, in my opinion. Beach Boys
ballads are about the best.

Brian, even though he couldn't hit the curve ball, is
STILL knocking them out of any park. (Including
Yellowstone.)

Spos Kanal Very true, he is pretty underrated as a songwriter.

@Vinyl 77 Also don't forget Bruce actually made 3 solo albums as well as some stuff with Bruce and Terry.

Mac Sawyer Ok? Brian, Carl, Dennis, Al, and Mike have all made solo albums. And Brian, Mike, Al, And Bruce all still tour. Fact of the matter is if Brian Wilson didnโ€™t make Pet Sounds, the Beatles would be some poppy band from the British invasion, nothing more.

@Help America Did you even read my comment? I explained in detail why they're not, so you gotta say a bit more than "Nah, I'm right".

Wow, Iโ€™m literally blown away by the genius of this song! It takes you someplace else...

This is Brian Wilson's grieving over President Kennedy's assassination. It marks the departure in his maturity from surf music, and the push toward his more mature writings and concepts. It is beautiful beyond words I could choose to describe it.

David Michael absolutely! This is stunning...their harmonies are almost reminiscent of something from the doo-wop groups or Motown.

Beautiful. The Beach Boys weren't just about beach/surfing/car songs!
