First Time
The Beatings Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You know I won't forget
The times we shared together holding hands
And walking in the park
Sometimes we'll have to do it all again
We were so happy then
I have no regrets

Can't you tell from the look on my face
That I love you more today

The first time I looked into your eyes I cried
Do you remember the first time we fell in love
You looked into my eyes
Wiped the tears away the first time
When we fell in love

Although some time has passed
I still remember just like it was yesterday
But time is movin' fast
The love I had for you time won't ever change
I'll always feel the same
Now until the end

Memories we share will live forever
Deep inside my heart I know I'll never forget

The first time I looked into your eyes I cried
Do you remember the first time we fell in love
You looked into my eyes
Wiped the tears away the first time
When we fell in love

The first time I looked into your eyes I cried
Do you remember the first time we fell in love
You looked into my eyes
Wiped the tears away the first time

When we fell in love
Oh, when we fell in love

Overall Meaning

The Beatings' song "First Time" is a poignant ode to young love and the memories that remain long after the relationship has ended. The opening lines speak to the nostalgia that the singer feels as they recall the simple pleasures of spending time with their former partner, holding hands and walking in the park. They express a desire to relive those moments, acknowledging that they were happy at the time and have no regrets.

As the song progresses, the singer reflects on the intensity of their emotions when they first fell in love. They remember the tears that came to their eyes the first time they looked into their partner's eyes, and how their partner wiped those tears away. They express a sense of awe at the power of their feelings in that moment, and the memory seems to be a source of comfort and strength for them.

Throughout the song, the passage of time is a recurring theme. The singer acknowledges that some time has passed since their relationship ended, but nonetheless the memories they shared remain vivid and meaningful. They recognize that time is constantly moving forward, but they reassure themselves that the love they had for their partner will never change. The memories they shared will live on inside them forever.

I actually liked WWII, it felt like a nice blend between casual and hardcore

TF2 Engi

I have some personal nostalgia with WW2 because it was one of my first call of duty games if I don't count the mobile games.

imutorln24

WWII was fun to play, but the lootdrops was a massive flop.

@TF2 Engi my second ever, I remember being scared shitless by the jump scares as a 10 year old. Good times.

Yeah WW2 was really good for trying to recrapture the old appeal and feel of the og franchise. The problem is that the “immersion” aspect was heavily lacking in most aspects. Because the gore, horror, and violence of “World at War”was a trademark reason why the game was so impacting, the decision to clean up and minimize some of those aspects to appeal to the market ultimately caused a lot of frustration for fans. What should have been a better world at war instead became “modernized” world at war.

The guns were relatively well made and there was a lot of variety. The loot box mechanic for a lot of gear was a huge letdown though.

Love how Samuel gives the non Treyarch games a fair shot even tho most people hate them

Beefiestworm

I love ww2 as it is different and tbh it’s quite fun imo

Frankly I think Samuel likes most zombie maps and gives them the benefit of the doubt.

Tbf apart from Vanguard because everyone agrees that they're bad and they really have a lot of hate, both IW and WW2 zombies are pretty appreciated and valued by the community, even being their favorite zombies for some people. In my case I love Treyarch zombies more than any other, but Zombies In Spaceland is one of my favorites map of all time.
