The Beatles recorded the song on 15 February 1965, in 1 take, with 10 edits of a George Harrison guitar "flourish" which was not used.[3] The master take was take 1 with a guitar solo overdub by McCartney on February 16. It was remixed on 18 February and 23 February.
This is one of the first Beatle songs in which McCartney plays lead guitar, in addition to his usual bass.

You're making me say that I've got nobody but you
But as from today, well, I've got somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want
For I have got another girl, another girl
She's sweeter than all the girls and I've met quite a few
Nobody in all the world can do what she can do
For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me 'til the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
I don't want to say that I've been unhappy with you
But as from today, well, I've seen somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want
For I have got another girl
Another girl who will love me 'til the end
Through thick and thin she will always be my friend
I don't want to say that I've been unhappy with you
But as from today, well, I've seen somebody that's new
I ain't no fool and I don't take what I don't want
For I have got another girl

Another girl
The lyrics to The Beatles' song "Another Girl" tell the story of a man who has found another woman to love. The singer assures his previous lover that he doesn't want to hurt her but that he has moved on. He reveals that he has found someone else, who is "sweeter than all the girls" he has met before. The chorus repeats the line "For I have got another girl" three times, emphasizing his newfound love.
The singer seems to struggle with his decision, as he acknowledges that he doesn't want to hurt his previous lover by saying that he has "got nobody but you." However, he ultimately decides to follow his heart and pursue his relationship with the other woman. The song portrays a common theme in love songs, where one relationship must end in order for another to begin.
Interestingly, the song is musically upbeat and almost joyful sounding, despite the potentially hurtful subject matter. The guitar riff is catchy and memorable, and the harmonies from the band are tight and polished. The overall sound of the song is typical of The Beatles' early work, with a focus on pop melodies and simple arrangements.
Overall, "Another Girl" is a well-crafted pop song with a relatable theme. The lyrics and music work together to deliver a message of moving on and finding new love.
