Hey Bulldog
by The Beatles

Sheepdog, standing in the rain
Bullfrog, doing it again
Some kind of happiness is
Measured out in miles
What makes you think you're
Something special when you smile

Childlike no one understands
Jackknife in your sweaty hands
Some kind of innocence is
Measured out in years
You don't know what it's like
To listen to your fears

You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me

Big man (yeah) walking in the park
Wigwam frightened of the dark
Some kind of solitude is
Measured out in you
You think you know me, but you haven't got a clue

You can talk to me
You can talk to me
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me

Hey hey

Hey, bulldog (hey bulldog)

Hey, bulldog
Hey, bulldog
Hey, bulldog

Hey man

Whats up brother?

What do ya say

I say, roof

You know any more?

Ah ah (you got it, that's it, you had it)
That's it man, wo ho, that's it, you got it

Look at me man, I only had ten children

Ah ah ah ah ah ah ha ha ha ha
Quiet, quiet (ok)
Hey, bulldog, hey bulldog

For any other band this would be their most famous song.
For the Beatles it's a throwaway filler for a cartoon.

Marco Ferrara

My interpretation in fingerstyle.

Kermit T. Frog

@Rishard Lampese I could just as easily have been Lennon. But given the circumstances, I'd wager it was George.

This is the first comment I’ve seen saying it would be another band’s most famous song that’s been true

I'm going to say what everyone is saying.

Paul's bass lines are legendary in this song.

Wes Clark

@Ken Steiger I don't think anybody really knows for sure who is playing that lead. From what I've read there are conflicting accounts. But it sounds like John - the chording rather than extended single string notes. John didn't do those, George did. It is much more in John's style than George's.

Lockery 05

Thats the main part of the song !

Daniel Kokal

Paul is a melodic genius. no surprise that comes out in his bass as well. he heard a bass line that
no one else would have heard. really quite impressive.
