Overall Meaning

The Beatnuts's song "Intro" starts with an introduction by "Intoxicated Demons" which set the tone for the entire album. The lyrics have no clear meaning, but they are characterized by disjointed phrases, repetitions and scratches that do not seem to follow a definite pattern but aim to display the talent of the producers. The first few lines of the lyrics repeatedly declare that The Beatnuts are famous, while the subsequent lines talk about a party and the host's intention to throw it. The phrase "Yes, I was a virgin before I got here tonight" bounces up a few times, cheerfully implying that the host's guests have rendered him sexless. The song seems to reflect the group's irreverent style, where the music is less about meaning and more about the sound and the mood. The song gives a good idea of what to expect from the album and sets the tone for the tracks that follow.

One of the most underrated Hip Hop groups, and underrated Hip Hop albums ever ! Let me just say as Black Man, who saw the birth of Hip Hop in the Boogie Down Bronx in the 70s, it’s time we give the Latinos the credit they deserve, for their contribution to the Hip Hop game !

Lilmoe

Let me school you my man, rap is a part of the hip hop culture, along with the language, the, dress, the music, and the dance. If you talked to The Beatnuts, or any true hip hop person, Jay Z, Biggie, Krs1 or whoever is true to the culture, and art form, they would tell you that. I was born and raised in the Bronx, when and where it all started. So what I have forgotten about hip hop, or what you call rap is more than you will ever know. You do your homework, read some books on it, like the Adventures Of GrandMaster Flash, Rakim’s Sweat The Technique. Know what you are talking about, before you call someone what they are not. Try to be respectful which the policy of the YouTube comments.
