1. A American Hip Hop group.
2. A Japanese instrumental latin jazz-fusion group.
1. The Beatnuts are a hip hop group and production duo from Queens, New York City. Its current members are JuJu and Psycho Les. JuJu (born Jerry Tineo on December 4, 1968) is Dominican American from Corona and Psycho Les (born Lester Fernandez on April 10, 1972) is a Colombian American from Jackson Heights. The Beatnuts were originally a trio before Kool Fashion, now known as Al' Tariq, left the group to start a solo career. The Mighty V.I.C. (Groove Merchantz, Ghetto Pros) was also a member of The Beatnuts' production team for a while.
Early on in their career they produced whole albums for Posse members Common Sense and Chi-Ali. Their production is noted as some of the finest and most accomplished, if unheralded, in all of hip-hop, often intricately detailed (as in their finely honed work for Mos Def on two tracks from Black on Both Sides) but more regularly barnstorming, club-friendly, flourish-laden party music. Jennifer Lopez used their track "Watch Out Now" as the instrumental for her song "Jenny from the Block". The Beatnuts produced more songs for the artists they had previously collaborated with as well as Fat Joe, SuprΓͺme NTM and Da Youngsta's. At the same time, The Beatnuts made their name as remix specialists by remixing songs for MC Lyte, Da Lench Mob, Naughty by Nature, Jomanda and others.
The Beatnuts are noted for being unabashedly, bullishly ribald and in-your-face performers. Recent Beatnuts albums are characterised by more Latin influences.
Less known is they are considered part of the Native Tongues collective. The Beatnuts are the only Latino members of the Native Tongues collective. Although only peripheral members, they are routinely acknowledged by Q-Tip.

Is it true what they say about how they smoke a lot of, why'know
Yeah, yeah
Everybody get up, Beatnuts
World's Famous, no doubt!
Straight out the laboratory
Fuck, what?
Your mother sucks cocks, and your father
I beat too savagely, it doesn't even matter to me
I hold this down like gravity, reality
Is unloaded, the foul mouthed brain exploded
The gun-totin', the Charles Manson pres votin'
The bitch chokin', the hydro cheeba smokin'
Leave ya witcha nose broken, the ill spoken
Killer, fuck your little girl like Magilla
The wild Gorilla, gun down Barney Miller
Ah!
Yo, fuck these niggaz yo, they violent, they violent
Yo, yo, what the fuck you doin yo? Punk?
Can't shoot a cop son!
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
Here's my ultimatum, niggaz don't have my shit laced
No question, little did you know, you came here for confession
Cross-examination, my organization stack figures
And when you fuck up we chop heads, no fingers
Fuckin' around, with those Beatnut niggaz
Now you missin' body dumped in different rivers
Full-fledged rapper with the Stone Crazy singer
I'm comin' at you with the ice pick yellin' Bre vega
Because I perceive you a sneaky, analyzer
Touch the equalizer, get shot by the tranquilizer
Who shot ya?
Who? The bilingual Mandingo, roll trees
But prefer leaves, don't give a fuck about drug beefs
Peep the headlines, stay high
Twenty-four seven, lali out with the red eyes
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
You must be stone crazy
Intoxicated, intoxicated, intoxicated
Fuck you was thinkin' nigga? Fuck you was on?
Round and around and around and around
And around and around and around we go
Yo, Beatnuts, world's famous
Round and around and around and around
And around and around and around we go
Yo, drinkin' a glass of Prozac so get the Bozack
The Beatnutsβ βStone Crazyβ is a rap anthem that exudes a tough-guy persona whilst skilfully incorporating elements of humor and irony. The opening monologue about smoking sets up the scene for the song, which revolves around the recurring refrain, βYou must be stone crazy.β The rhythm and beats are hard and fast, with lyrics that are explicit and provocative. The lyrics describe a world that is violent and aggressive, where people are loyal to their βorganizationβ and will βchop headsβ when someone βfucks up.β The singers of the song come across as arrogant and dangerous, with references to Charles Manson, gun-toting, and psychotic behavior.
The chorus, βYou must be stone crazy,β conveys a sense of incredulity at the audacity of those who live in this violent world. The vibe of the song flips between toughness and levity, with rap verses that are punctuated by jokes, such as the line βYour mother sucks cocks, and your fatherβ - a line that ends abruptly, leaving the listener to imagine what comes next. The song is a window into a certain type of hip hop culture, one that is immersed in criminality, drugs, and violence. It speaks to a generation of young people who feel disenfranchised and trapped, who identify with the machismo and braggadocio of rappers like The Beatnuts.
