The Berzerker has produced five full length albums, The Berzerker (2000), Dissimulate (2002), World of Lies (2005), Animosity (2007) and The Reawakening (2008). These were released through Earache Records, with the exception of the latest album, which was released through Berserker Industries. During the early part of their career as a live act, band members were identified only as The Vocalist, The Guitarist, The Bassist and The Drummer, distinguishable on stage only by the masks they wore. However, the group has since abandoned this device.
A DVD documentary, The Principles and Practices of The Berzerker (2004), includes several hours of live concert footage, as well as the first public images of the band members without their masks.
Most of the band's music videos have been banned from broadcast for reasons such as the possible epileptic fit-inducing imagery contained in the video "Forever", and the horrific imagery of "Reality". The latter features graphic images of cadavers and body parts, along with appearances from the band themselves.

Afterlife
The Berzerker Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
What lies beyond this world and what awaits your future now
[Chorus]
Waiting for the afterlife
Waiting for you're time to die
Waiting for the afterlife
Waiting till the time is right
Waiting, wanting, searching, suffering
Waiting for the afterlife
Time is upon you time to die
Why don't stop to ponder, why you're afraid of death
Why don't you stop and wonder, what could be worse than this
Now you're alone you're life has ceased I can feel it
All of your hatred has come undone
I've watched you live, I've watched you die I have seen it
And now it's over I can finally move on
Your time spent here is over now you deal with it
No coming back, never living, I know
To earn freedom, you must let go, I now know it
Of all the hatred, for it's time to move on
[Chorus]
Why don't stop to ponder, why you're afraid of death
Why don't you stop and wonder, what could be worse than this
I cant stand by and watch you wait for an after life
That has been promised to you by your faith
Why would you believe such nonsense without any
Shred of proof or existence beyond our world
The Berzerker's song "Afterlife" is a powerful and thought-provoking commentary on the inevitability of death and the uncertainty that lies beyond it. The opening lyrics suggest that death is an absolute and unavoidable event, but the desire to understand what comes after is a natural human instinct. The chorus repeatedly states the theme of waiting for the afterlife but also acknowledges the sufferings one goes through while waiting for it. The verses offer differing perspectives on how to approach the prospect of death. The first verse suggests that fear of the unknown is a common response to confronting death, but the second counters that it may not be the worst outcome.
The third verse becomes more personal, as the singer shifts into a first-person perspective. The singer reflects on the life of the person who has just died, and how they had experienced both joy and pain. This contemplation implies that there is no judgment rendered on a person's life, but that one's experiences prepare them for their next journey. The final two lines of the verse suggest that it is time to move on after a life has ended. The final chorus contrasts the belief in an afterlife promised by faith versus the lack of evidence for it, which challenges the listener to question their beliefs.
