TBCB MUSIC released the band's first effort on last october, 2005. The album entitled "The Black Cat Bone", includes 11 original songs plus a country rendition of Preston Foster's "I got my mojo working".
“The Black Cat Bone”, TBCB’s NEW ALBUM-KOMA
TBCB’s return to the Colombian national rock scene began in November 2009 with the recording sessions for their second album with German Villacorta as producer alongside Juan David Bernal. The four musicians of TBCB Mauricio Leguízamo, Juan David Bernal, Luis Fernando Garcia and Andres Garzón began the final phase of a sabbatical year in which the band found its musical essence. These were months of intense creativity, reflection and a rest from the great moment where, between 2005 and 2008, the band was on top of the national rock scene.
This pause, which meant a redirection in the band’s musical concept, found a quick echo in the genius of Germán Villacorta, Peruvian producer and engineer based in Los Angeles, whose credits range from Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots and Rolling Stones among others, in diverse roles as recording and mixing engineer. Villacorta understood the meaning of what TBCB wanted resulting in one of the best records in the history of Colombian rock. In February 2010, the single “Let it die” opened way to KOMA, the band’s second studio album.

You ain't heard from me
But don't you think I'm gone for good
I'm ready to rock you'll you see
I've taken some time myself
I'm ready to paint the town
Not while I'm around
You might be getting away with murder
You sure won't do it with my sound
'Cause you don't fuck with Black Cat Bone
You don't pay, you don't get none
Some day when your heyday is gone
I'll be singing you this song
I've paid my dues to the scene,
Had a blast everywhere I've been
Friday night at Lord's alright for me,
Hear the hardrockers screaming out and sing
You can keep your place and your so called blues
We don't need all your abuse.
We're on the stage we're on your way -
We wanna hear you people sing -
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh Yeah! (x3)
…don't take any shit from anybody…
The lyrics to The Black Cat Bone's song Heyday are a bold statement about their return to rock music after taking some time off. The opening lines "You ain't seen me lately, You ain't heard from me, But don't you think I'm gone for good" convey a sense of the band returning with a vengeance. They are committed to getting back to the music scene and making an impact. The singer states that he's "ready to rock" and warns that those who have been taking advantage of their absence won't get away with it anymore.
The chorus of the song is particularly powerful as it asserts the band's presence and influence in the music world. The line "Cause you don't fuck with Black Cat Bone, You don't pay, you don't get none" is a warning to anyone who dares to cross them. The phrase "some day when your heyday is gone, I'll be singing you this song" is a clear indicator that the band knows their worth and is not afraid to show it.
The second verse of the song talks about the band's previous experiences and how they paid their dues to get where they are today. "I've paid my dues to the scene, Had a blast everywhere I've been" shows that they have earned their place in the music world and are not going to let anyone take it away from them. The final lines of the song "…don't take any shit from anybody…" leave no room for doubt about the band's self-confidence and determination.
