Since I've been here
It seems like years
Since I've seen you, my dear
All those days are gone
Did you find what you were looking for?
Is your life complete?
If you wanna get it
You gotta get it while it's still young
If you wanna get it, get it on
Get it on, get it on
It's so damn nice
To see you here
I remember every face
As if it was only yesterday
And it feels so good
Feeling up your old neighborhood
Everything has changed
But one thing remains
If you wanna get it
You gotta get it while it's still young
If you wanna get it, get it on
Get it on, get it on
If you wanna get it
You gotta get it while it's still young
If you wanna get it, get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
If you wanna get it
You gotta get it while it's still young
If you wanna get it, get it on
Get it on, get it on
If you wanna get it
You gotta get it while it's still young
If you wanna get it, get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
Get it on
Get it on, get it on
The Black Halos' song "No Class Reunion" tells a story of someone who is returning to their hometown after a long time. The song is nostalgic and reflective, as the singer remembers old friends and lovers while wondering if they're still around. The lyrics convey a sense of longing and loneliness, as the singer seems to be searching for something they may never find.
The first verse sets the tone for the entire song, emphasizing how much time has passed since the singer has seen their hometown and the people who once lived there. The line "all those days are gone" suggests that the singer is struggling to come to terms with the changes that have taken place. They ask their old flame if they found what they were looking for, implying that they themselves are searching for something as well. The chorus reinforces this idea, urging the listener to "get it on" while they still can. This can be interpreted as a reminder to seize the moment and take action if they want to make a change in their life.
The second verse is more nostalgic, as the singer recalls their memories and recognises that everything has changed but one thing. Though the physical surroundings are different, the person is still connected to their past, as they still hold on to their memories. The song ends with the same chorus, urging the listener to act while they still can.
Overall, "No Class Reunion" is a powerful song that speaks to the experience of returning to a place that was once familiar but is now foreign. It's a testament to how the past can shape us and how our memories can keep us connected to those who meant something to us.
