Clenching our hands
Backed up, backed up against the wall
These times, they move too fast
I'm left in the past
But those things, those things never last
Some things live and some things die
Ohh, I don't really think about
What it's really all about
And I say yes
(And I say yes)
We'll show them all
(Ohh)
We'll show them all
(We'll show them all)
Some things never fall
And I say yes
(And I say yes)
We'll show them all
(Ohh)
We'll show them all
(We'll show them all)
Some things never fall
My friends, they're all left for dead
The words they said
They ain't so easy to forget
My mind, just slips away
My brain decays
I'm getting dumber every day
Ohh, I don't really wonder why
Some things live and some things die
Ohh, I don't really think about
What it's really all about
And I say yes
(And I say yes)
We'll show them all
(Ohh)
We'll show them all
(We'll show them all)
Some things never fall
And I say yes
(And I say yes)
We'll show them all
(Ohh)
We'll show them all
(We'll show them all)
Some things never fall
And I say yes
(And I say yes)
We'll show them all
(Ohh)
We'll show them all
(We'll show them all)

...
In "Some Things Never Fall," The Black Halos sing about standing up against difficult situations and pushing through to show that "some things never fall." The opening lines describe this sense of struggle, as the band is backed up against the wall with hands clenched. This is contrasted with a sense of nostalgia for the past, with lyrics about feeling left behind and losing one's mind. Throughout the song, the band insists that they will prevail, and that certain things will never fall.
The chorus repeats the phrase "we'll show them all, some things never fall," driving home the message of resilience in the face of adversity. The lyrics are simple but effective, communicating a sense of determination and hope despite the challenges faced.
Overall, the song is about facing down difficulties and staying strong in the face of adversity. It speaks to a universal experience of facing challenges and pushing through to emerge on the other side.

This song is too underrated. I got their cd in Osaka Japan in 2002. They should have been known better than now. I remember I got Billy's autograph when he was in the cheap thrills. Someday they play in Japan mi hope.
