The Black and White Years Lyrics

My heart so frozen it turned into stone
You say you love me
But that was right back then
Back then
Switch on my guys
I cannot change up and switch on my guys
She want to fuck me
Lovin' and cuddling
Deep in her thighs, thighs
That's what I like
Is you with me?
I've been down all the time
Up in my mind
Time to reminisce
Here this is it
Ever since I was young
I been rappin'
Spittin' words off my tongue
Used to be on drugs
Never knew who I was
Barred out all the time
Never felt so numb
Too much rain
Every night too much pain
So done with the games
Why I go insane all the time
I'm so low
Yea you had me up high
All you ever did was lie
Never knew that the truth was inside
Look, my heart so cold when you left me it just turned to a stone
My heart so frozen it turned into stone
You say you love me
But that was right back then
Back then
Switch on my guys
I cannot change up and switch on my guys
She want to fuck me
We do it all night
Lovin' and cuddling
Deep in her thighs, thighs
That's what I like
I never felt so cold
Like why do I try?
Everything we had so old
Tired of the sky
So dark every night
Reach for the moonlight
Keep that fake love outta sight
Tryna get my mood right
No more bad vibes
Tryna stay high
Got myself on the rise
Everybody in disguise
I just wonder why
Everybody hide
None of you by my side
I just wonder why
Everybody hide
Look, my heart so cold when you left me it just turned to a stone
My heart so frozen it turned into stone
You say you love me
But that was right back then
Back then
The Black and White Years's song Cold is a mélange of deep bass and guitar riffs with a mix of rap vocals and soulful, crooning backups. The lyrics are quite cryptic with each verse telling a different story. The first verse, with its repetition of "cold-blooded, cold-blooded, hard-core" showcases the rapper's ambitions and his take-no-prisoners attitude, while the "for you and yours" line could be a nod to his community. The second verse seems to be about the rapper's struggles with fame and fortune, while the third verse is about the rapper's growth as a performer.
The chorus is a testament to the song's title, invoking the feeling of coldness and roughness. It could be interpreted as a statement on the rap industry, where survival is the driving force, with only the meanest and toughest making it to the top. The line "You got the c to the, huh, cold-blooded" is especially intriguing, and could be a reference to the rapper's street credibility.
Overall, the song seems to be a celebration of the rap industry's toughest and roughest, with a nod to the struggles and growth that come with fame and fortune.
