The Blackbyrds Lyrics

Walking in rhythm
Moving in sound
Humming to the music
Trying to move on
I'm walking in rhythm
Singing my song
Thinking about my baby
Trying to get home

Walking in rhythm
Moving in sound
Humming to the music
Trying to move on

I'm walking in rhythm
Singing my song
Thinking about my baby
Trying to get home

It's been so long since I seen her
I'm tired and so all alone
I've traveled so very far
I've got to get back home

It's been so long since I've kissed her
And held her tight in my arms
I've got so far to go now
I've got to get back home
Got to get back home

It's been so long since I've kissed her
And held her tight in my arms
I've got so far to go now
I've got to get back home

It's been so long since I've kissed her
And held her tight in my arms
I've got so far to go now
I've got to get back home
Got to get back home

Walking in rhythm
Moving in sound
Humming to the music
Trying to move on
I'm walking in rhythm
Singing my song
Thinking about my baby, baby
Trying to get home, trying to get home

I'm walking in rhythm
Singing my song, singing my song
Thinking about my baby, thinking about my baby
Trying to get home, trying to get home

I'm walking in rhythm (I'm walking in rhythm), singing my song (singing my song)
Thinking about my baby

JournoCJ:
I didn't realize anybody,
in these days of digital media still recalled reel to reel😮😊
My dad was career USN.
Family did two tours of duty in Japan, three years each.
When we got back to the States the second time
( approx 1971)
our dad had multiple analog stereo components assembled into a massive decoratively carved cabinet.
The reel to reel equipment took up the entire left side.
