After a few mind-blowing live performances, Blanko decided to record an EP in early 2007. The EP showed people some of their abilities on a disc, got some great reviews in Finland, as well as introduced the band to new fans. Blanko's next goal is to find a home for their forthcoming album: a record company willing to be a part of a musical revolution, sharing the same kind of
passion for music as the band does.
The band's name Blanko relates to an idea of a blank canvas, onto which the band members — as individuals and musicians — are adding the colours. The EP's cover picture represents the ultimate inspiration for the band: the portrayed woman is the source of genesis as well as a sex symbol. The pyramid on her hand represents Blanko, the three guys who together hold high spiritual energy, converting this pure power into the colours of music.
Pauli Hauta-aho is an impulsive guitar hero whose colourful personality can vary from sensitive vocal renditions all the way to crazy guitar solos. He writes the band's songs which the band members arrange together. Jakke Saarinen, the drummer, is the aggressively beating heart of Blanko, challenging the others with his skilful rhythms — a true Keith Moon of Finland. Marko
Haataja’s job, in turn, is to glue these elements together with his flinty talent: he's the devil when it comes to playing bass. These boys with their wild and free souls form the holy triangle of music spiced by progressive power pop. The band's energetic and multidimensional performances welcome everyone to the world of modern retro-rock.
Let Me In

Days by the storm
I'm feeling the heat
(Yeah)
The fever inside
Will never die
It makes me believe
Believe
You've got to let me in
Show me where to begin
You've got to let the green light shine on me
You've got to let me in
And hold me deep within
You've got to let the feeling set you free
The feeling will set you free
The memories made
Continually change
The vein makes my day
Oh, these questions I face
Time after time
Why should we restrain
You've got to let me in
Show me where to begin
You've got to let the green light shine on me
You've got to let me in
And hold me deep within
You've got to let the feeling set you free
The feeling will set you free
Yeah!
You've got to let me in
Oh, and take me for a spin
Yeah, you've got to let the green light shine on me
You've got to let me in
Yeah, and hold me deep within
Oh, You've got to let the feeling set you free
You've got to let the feeling set you free
Yeah, you've got to let the feeling set you free
The Blanko's song Let Me In is a rock song that talks about the journey of a musician on the road. The opening line “I'm on the road, days by the storm” suggests that the singer is traveling during challenging times. The mention of “fever” and “heat” highlights the passion that drives the artist to continue on this journey despite the obstacles faced. The belief that this is only the beginning is reinforced with the repetition of the line “It makes me believe, believe”. There is a sense of urgency throughout the song, conveyed by the repeated phrase “You've got to let me in”. The singer is pleading to be given a chance to shine and make music. This is reinforced with the lines “Show me where to begin” and “Hold me deep within”.
The chorus highlights the freedom that music offers; “You've got to let the feeling set you free” emphasizes the transcendent power of music. The phrase “green light” suggests opportunity and permission; the singer is asking for permission to follow his dream in music. The phrase “take me for a spin” highlights the free-spirited and adventurous nature of the journey. The lyrics in Let Me In encourage listeners to take risks and pursue their passions. The powerful guitar riffs and driving rhythm reinforce the sense of urgency and passion of the singer.
