Battlefield
The Blizzard Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Has taught me so much
Nor evil nor good
Just men with their fears
As I fought for mine
So tell me who's wrong
'Cause I don't know
After all the horrors
Of the battlefield
Although my body and soul
Are covered with wounds
I will come back
I will come back
When I come back
There'll be no fear
When I come back
You'll be never alone
I'm not the same man
I was when I left
In the end I don't know
Who lost or won
After all the horrors
Of the battlefield
Although my body and soul
Are covered with wounds
I will come back
I will come back
Guitar Solo ( Ste )
Guitar Solo ( Phil )
After all the horrors
Of the battlefield
Although my body and soul
Are covered with wounds
I will come back
I will come back
The lyrics of The Blizzard's song Battlefield are reflective and sentimental, exploring the idea of war and how it affects those involved. The singer has been through war and has learned from it, recognizing that there is neither good nor evil in warfare, only people with their own fears and agendas. Both sides fight for their own people, and it is not clear who is truly in the right or wrong. Despite the physical and emotional wounds the singer has suffered, they vow to return to the battlefield, promising to come back and bring an end to fear and loneliness. They acknowledge that they are not the same person they were before they went to war, but also recognize that the outcome of the battle is uncertain and they may never know who truly won or lost.
Overall, the lyrics to Battlefield are a thoughtful and thought-provoking exploration of war and its effects on those involved. The song recognizes the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers, but also questions the morality of warfare and the impact it has on individuals.

This was good for a winter battlefield ambience but there was a couple sounds of gunshots that simply felt out of place like they were gun sounds from a little too old video game? Like just tone wise didnt sound right. Only issue at all
