Понятия не имею. Песня была записана на почтовой открытке. Тогда в СССР портативный магнитофон был редкостью. Были какие-то мини-студии звукозаписи, на почтовую открытку наносился какой-то состав, прошивалось отверстие посередине и записывалась одна песня. Можно было так же записать "звуковое письмо." Приятель мне привёз из города Кисловодска открытку с записью этой песни.

Bopped like mad to this as a kid. My parents were horrified at my blatant love of rock and roll, but there was no stopping me. And when this was on the radio or the telly my feet were a blur. Fantastic song even to this day. It makes a lovely companion with the Beatles' 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy'. Still dancing!!!

Some conspiracy nut says that one of them was John Lennon's double. I don't see any resemblance in any of them. They do have a Beatle like sound but no John Lennon sound-alike. For that, pull up the 1965 American group called The Knickerbockers by typing in Lies, Lies, Lies and scroll til you find them. The name of the song is Lies. They also knocked the Beatles out of the No 1 spot briefly in 1964 with Hippy Hippy Shake.

I became a musician because of the Beatles, and I love the Beatles but nobody comes close to the Swinging Blue Jeans version of Hippy Hippy Shakes. The rawness of the vocals and by the time that rockin' guitar solo comes, you're transferred to another world and all of that in less than 2 minutes. it's as if I'm still that teenager sitting in front of my Philips short-wave radio back in Karachi, Pakistan wanting to play music. Envy you! I'm barely 30 and played in a covers band when I was 18/19 and we played this preceded by Shakin' All Over by Johnny Kidd and the Pirates. Two great songs to put together. Works VERY well. Plus if you're on lead guitar, a total song to show off! Great stuff. Always got folks up dancing. Didn't matter if they were 18 or 80. This stuff just WORKS.

When I was a kid, my parents had a record with hits from the 60's. This song, and Good Golly Miss Molly with Swinging Blue Jeans were my favorites, because of the rough sound. Probably one of the most important factors why I later turned to hard rock and heavy metal (which at that time were synonymous).

I'm gonna be 71 in two weeks and I need both hips replaced. This song from my halcyon days popped into my head a few minutes ago so I tubed it up. Good to hear again, I don't have it on any of my old vinyl
