The band’s main focus is on writing and arranging songs in a way that time wouldn’t know how to make obsolete. With time, The Blue Seeds has also succeeded in creating its own unique soundscape that is as mysterious as a David Lynch movie and as refined as Wim Wenders’ picture.
The band has performed live throughout the Province of Quebec (Canada), Toronto, Paris and Berlin. In addition, The Blue Seeds has also participated to such prestigious events as the Montreal International Jazz Festival (Canada), Le Printemps de Bourges (France), Popkomm (Germany) and the Festival d’Été de Québec (Canada) with Marianne Faithfull and Martha Wainwright.
Barcelona
The Blue Seeds Lyrics

Since you've left for Barcelona
Out of bloom and into the blue
Barcelona you must now surrender
Because nobody can save me
Nobody can save me but you
And I've tried so many days
When will you realize
That your star won't ever shine
Without me...
My weary heart is now hanging by a thread
And all the flowers forgot to bloom
Out of bloom and into the blue
Dead dark black clouds are now coming down
Oh nobody can save me
Nobody can save me but you
And I've tried so many days
And I've cried so many hours
When will you realize
That your star won't ever shine
Oh Barcelona
You must surrender
Oh Barcelona
You stole my love
The days grow darker with my desire
Since you've left for Barcelona
Out of bloom and into the blue
Oh Barcelona you must now surrender
The lyrics of The Blue Seeds's song Barcelona evoke a sense of longing and melancholy, with the singer pining for a lover who has left for the Spanish city of Barcelona. The opening verse sets the mood, as the singer laments that the "days grow darker" since their lover's departure. The chorus is a plea for the lover to return, with the singer repeating "nobody can save me but you" and asking when they will realize that their "star won't ever shine without me". The second verse reinforces the sense of loss and despair, with the singer's "weary heart" hanging "by a thread" and the flowers "forgot to bloom". The end of the song repeats the earlier verses with an added emphasis on the need for Barcelona to surrender, as if the city itself were at fault for the singer's heartache.
The lyrics can be interpreted as a metaphor for a relationship that has ended, with the singer feeling lost and alone without their partner. The image of Barcelona not surrendering can be seen as a representation of the singer's unwillingness to let go of the past and move on from the heartbreak. The repetition of the phrase "nobody can save me but you" suggests a codependency that may have contributed to the end of the relationship.
