The band then began to take on a life beyond the confines of the television screen, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.
After the death of Belushi in 1982, the Blues Brothers have continued to perform with a rotation of guest singers and other band members. Aykroyd reunited the original band in 1988 for a world tour and again in 1998 for a sequel to the film, Blues Brothers 2000. Aykroyd and the band, occasionally joined by Belushi's brother Jim, make regular appearances at musical festivals worldwide.

Well my temperature's rising and my feet on the floor
Twenty people rockin' and there want to go more
Let me in baby, I don't know what you've got
but you'd better take it easy, this place is hot
So glad we made it
So glad we made it
Gimme some lovin' (Gimme some lovin')
Gimme some lovin' (Gimme gimme some lovin')
Gimme some lovin'
Everyday
Hey hey
Hey!
Well I feel so good, everything is sellin' high
You'd better take it ease cause the place is on fire
It's been a hard day and I don't know what to do
We made it baby and it happened to you
And I'm
So glad we made it
So glad we made it
You gotta
Gimme some lovin' (Gimme some lovin')
Gimme some lovin' (Gimme gimme some lovin')
Gimme some lovin'
Everyday
The lyrics to The Blues Brothers's song Gimme Some Lovin' are about a wild and exciting night out where the singer is feeling the heat and energy of the crowd, and is requesting some love and attention to keep the party going. The song sets the scene of a lively and energetic atmosphere where twenty people are rocking and ready for more. The singer urges his partner to let him in, but warns them to "take it easy" as "this place is hot."

Even though it's been a hard day, they've made it, and he's grateful that it happened to both of them. The song culminates in the repeated chorus of "Gimme some lovin'" which is a request for the audience to give them love and attention to keep the energy alive. Overall, the lyrics are a celebration of life, energy, and love.

You earned $200 from the show, and you drank $300 worth of beer.
@punknoodles0
@Mr nobody Returns With today's market, $300 ain't much divided among the whole band.
@Bennahr_Fett
@@punknoodles0 In 1980 not the modern 20s
@rosalitabender6910
@Stefano Pavone He never specifically says how much they owe him, he just says they drank 200 worth of beer.
@jcarry5214
@Stefano Pavone If you have zero then 100 is equally as impossible as 1000
@MoviePro84
@Stefano Pavone Yeah, but they didn't even have the money for that.
