This song gives me the chills! I just love to listen to this at the start of the 1st movie! Never been in Ireland and it's really hard to imagine that it's really as fun and cheery as it sounds and looks from the movies and songs, pardon me if I'm wrong, please! To this day watching this movie and listing to this song it makes me proud to be and Irish man the music drinking and being able to say i'm Irish makes me proud and dont forget the drinking best part of being Irish is cause you can out drink more then half the people you know haha so cheers to all the Irish folk and Cheers to those who wish you could drink as much as we can and still be sober

the blood of Cúchulainn. his story is actually my favorite. it means cullanns hound he got that name when he was going to a feast after impressing noble and he slew his guard dog when the lord came and sen setanta standing over the slain hound he asked who will guard me and my family now. setanta realizing what he had done swore he would stand guard over the family till the pups were grown earning him the title cullanns hound. his story is both inspiring and tragic.

Thanks for the positive feedback, man. I wasn't annoyed that people thought that Irish music was Celtic, that's understandable. What annoyed me was the way people wouldn't hear the truth & got angry at reading it. The term 'Celtic' has really become bastardised which is a real shame as I'm truly proud of both my Celtic heritage, such as Gaeilge, & my Irish heritage, such as music, story, & dance. I'm glad I was of help.

when I hear this song my mind always goes to the my family that live and die for the IRA. my family was apart of the original organization the brotherhood of Ireland. and helped form the IRA after the break up of the brotherhood. my grandpa use to tell me stories of the old country and how the British destroyed our people thru slavery and rape to mix the blood lines up.
