They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

I'm always in trouble, I never know why
She has two sides, she changes her mind
I just wanna get off this ride
Step aside and let the storm pass me by
When it's good it's great
And we lay side by side
Everything is all right
Don't wanna kill these good vibes
Still it happens all the time
There's no reason why
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do?
My coin toss girl
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do? What can I do?
My coin toss girl
When she's so cold to me
I'm always in trouble no matter what I try
I get denied, happens all the time
It's a roller coaster ride
Thrills and spills so sky high
I'm so glad she's mine
Yeah, a million reasons why
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do?
My coin toss girl
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do? What can I do?
My coin toss girl
I think I'd like to marry her
I think I'd like to bury her
I think I'd like to marry her
I think I'd like to bury her
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do?
My coin toss girl
Call it in the air, everything's fair
I love you like a fool, what can I do? What can I do?
My coin toss girl
My coin toss girl
Oh yeah, my coin toss girl
I play it so cool, I love you like a fool
My coin toss girl
Oh yeah, my coin toss girl
The Bouncing Souls's song Coin Toss Girl is a complex love song about a woman who is constantly changing her mind, leaving the singer constantly guessing and unsure of what is going to happen next. The lyrics portray a relationship that is both thrilling and tumultuous, filled with intense highs and lows. The line "when it's good it's great, and we lay side by side" contrasts sharply with the line "when she's so cold to me, I'm always in trouble no matter what I try," highlighting the unpredictability of the woman the singer loves. The repeated chorus of "call it in the air, everything's fair, I love you like a fool, what can I do, my coin toss girl" underscores the theme of uncertainty in the relationship, with the repeated coin toss representing the singer's inability to predict the outcome of his relationship with this woman.
Overall, the song is a powerful meditation on the ups and downs of romantic love, and the frustrations and pleasures that come from being in a relationship with someone who is unpredictable and changing. The singer's attempts to stay cool despite being head over heels in love with this woman are highlighted in the final lines of the song, where the singer admits that he is torn between wanting to marry her and wanting to bury her. This tension between love and frustration is at the heart of the song, and ultimately gives it a depth and complexity that will resonate with many listeners.

I can see myself listening to this in the car going down some hometown streets, feels like a good summertime song. Definitely a break from the metal sound Rise puts out, and what a good break it is.

Why is it that the only good punk bands on Rise are usually the ones with the most dislikes? I just fucking love the 50's doo-wop vibe in this. The Souls did good.
