They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

Holiday Cocktail Lounge
The Bouncing Souls Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But you'll have to brave the downpour, I’m staying here
Where I can get a song free with my drink to smooth things along
The bartender, he looks kind of sauced but he always knows what's going down
It’s all how you carry yourself here at the holiday cocktail lounge
I didn't talk or say much but I got to know a lot
The greatest delicacies of Spain
Another drink with my free song
The usual things they come and move along
Here at the holiday cocktail lounge
I have heard some places can change how you feel
It's not something you can see
But I think that it's real
Words that were spoken of passing thoughts in the mind
Somebody just rolled through and they left them behind
Maybe they sat in this very stool
And didn't make a sound
They just came and went
Here at the holiday cocktail lounge
The Bouncing Souls' song "Holiday Cocktail Lounge" presents a picture of a beloved drinking establishment, where the ambiance is comfortable, and the patrons are familiar. The song describes a rainy night, where the singer decides to stay in this bar instead of moving on to the Happy Hour spot next door, and this decision leads him to different experiences. The bartender, who seems tipsy to the uninitiated, has a knowledge that attracts people who carry themselves in a particular way. The song implies that the Holiday Cocktail Lounge is a place of community where knowledge, thoughts, and experiences are shared, whether in the form of a free song or conversations over drinks.
