They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

The Bouncing Souls Lyrics

that's where my story begins.
Took the pain of growing up and I walked on through,
this is how I'm showing up.
I feel great, how about you?
So here I stand out on my own,
myself the only truth that I've known
I went through all the things that I had to do.
how about you?
Playing life just like a game,
good or bad it's all the same
Let the world know how I feel,
and you know it's real,
and you know I'm real
In The Bouncing Souls's song No Comply, the lyrics symbolize someone who has had to grow up quickly and has endured a lot of hardships but has come out the other end feeling great. The singer states that they are on the outside looking in, which may mean that they felt like they were never fully included or accepted in their own community. They then express that they have taken the pain of growing up and used it to walk on through life. They are proud of the way they have faced their challenges and are content with who they have become.
The lyrics go on to say that the singer is standing on their own and the only truth they know is themselves. This could suggest that they may have had to rely on themselves a lot and the only person they can trust is themselves. The singer then says that they have gone through all the things they had to do, which may refer to all the hardships they had to overcome. They then ask the listener how they feel and reaffirm that they are feeling great.
The chorus states that life is just like a game, and whether it's good or bad, it's all the same. This could suggest that the singer has learned to approach life with a sense of detachment, and to not let their circumstances affect their overall outlook on life. The singer then says they will let the world know how they feel and that their emotions are real, which shows a sense of vulnerability and authenticity.
