They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

No Security
The Bouncing Souls Lyrics

They try to sell that lie to me.
Open up your eyes and see,
There is no security,
No security for you.
You may call it apathy but I can't believe
Any of the lies they tell me on TV.
There is no security,
No security for me.
The Bouncing Souls's song "No Security" talks about the idea of living solely for security and how it's a false narrative that the world tries to sell us. The writer of the song says that we need to open up our eyes and see that there is no such thing as security. The line "Living for security, they try to sell that lie to me" indicates that many people often compromise their dreams and ambitions for a life of stability and safety. The next line gets even more powerful, as the writer emphasizes that there is no actual security for an individual in this world.
The song then talks about the impact of mass media and propaganda. The writer explains that people are fed lies through TV, and it results in apathy. The apathy is directed towards the idea of security, as the writer realizes that securing oneself is a mere deception. The last line "No security for me" clarifies the writer's stand on the topic. He believes that there is a lot more to life than merely being safe and secure.
Overall, the song is a statement against the conformity of society that propagates a single narrative of safety and security at the expense of individuality, creativity, and ambition.
