They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

Streetlight Serenade
The Bouncing Souls Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And everything else that I like
This goes out to my handlebars
As I'm weaving through the cars
Well this is for my squirrel in the park
And every dog that doesn't bark
And listening to what’s inside
I look at all the cars I pass
I cruise myself in the glass
The Bouncing Souls's song Streetlight Serenade is a heartfelt tribute to the joy of riding a bike on the streets. The lyrics are written in a casual, conversational tone, where the singer has a monologue with his bike and other things that he likes. The opening lines, "I'll sing this song to my bike, And everything else that I like," establish the emotional bond between the rider and his bike, as if the bike is a person or a friend. The song is not just about the act of riding but the feeling of liberation that comes with it.
The song conveys the feelings of freedom, empowerment, and escapism one can experience while riding a bike. Like a serenade, the song is a loving ode to the bike and other things that the singer likes, such as the handlebars that he holds on tight while weaving through the cars. The lyrics also pay tribute to the small joys of life, like a squirrel in the park, and every dog that doesn't bark.
The song creates an image of the singer cruising himself through the streets, enjoying the ride, looking at all the cars he passes, and even getting a glimpse of himself in the glass. Overall, the song is a simple yet profound meditation on the joy and freedom of riding a bike that will inspire anyone who listens to it to take a ride and feel alive.

I'll sing this song to my bike
I will use this melody to express my love for my bike
And everything else that I like
And for all other things that bring me joy
This goes out to my handlebars
This is dedicated to my bike's handlebars, which I use to steer my ride
As I'm weaving through the cars
As I navigate skillfully through the traffic
Well this is for my squirrel in the park
This is also dedicated to the squirrel I saw in the park
And every dog that doesn't bark
And to all the good doggos who don't bark noisily
This is a song about a ride
This tune is about my experience on my bike
And listening to what’s inside
Though an external activity, it allows me to listen to my inner voice
I look at all the cars I pass
As I speed past, I observe all the cars driving by
I cruise myself in the glass
And in the reflection of shop windows, I admire my cool bike and my dashing self
