My Dreams of You
The Box Lyrics

I've got you deep in the heart of me.
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me.
I've got you under my skin.
I'd tried so not to give in.
I said to myself, this affair never will go so well.
But why should I try to resist when, baby, I know down well
I've got you under my skin?
I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of havin' you near
In spite of a warnin' voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear,
Don't you know, you fool, you never can win?
Use your mentality, wake up to reality.
But each time that I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin
Cause I've got you under my skin.
I would sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of havin' you near
In spite of the warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, how it yells in my ear,
Don't you know, you fool, ain't no chance to win
Why not use your mentality, get up, wake up to reality?
And each time I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop just before I begin
Cause I've got you under my skin.
And I like you under my skin.
The song "I've Got You Under My Skin" by The Box is a classic love song that deals with the feelings of obsession and powerlessness that come with falling deeply in love. The title itself has become a well-known saying that refers to the idea of being completely enamored with someone to the point where they are constantly on your mind and in your heart.
The first verse explores the idea of being consumed by love, with the singer stating that his love interest is "deep in the heart" of him and that he cannot resist her pull. He acknowledges the warning voice that tells him to be realistic and logical, but he cannot help his feelings. The second verse repeats this, emphasizing the power that love holds over him.
The last line, "And I like you under my skin," reveals the intensity of the singer's feelings. He has fully given himself over to his love for this person, and enjoys the feeling of their love being a part of him.
Overall, the song is a beautiful ode to the overwhelming emotions that come with falling deeply in love, and the way that love can completely take over a person's thoughts and actions.

One of the most talented groups of all time. In my opinion, Jean-Marc Pisapia had the most beautiful voice for any male rock singer in history.
