Now or Never
The Box Lyrics

Then its time you headed your way
Julie wipes the counter
Where customers have been
Picking up her tips
From coffees and sandwiches
Small cars and pick-up trucks
Up and down the road
And I see so many people, so many dreams, yeah
Its got to be now or never
Such little time ahead
Just a lone life to live, yeah
Its got to be now or never
I say take a chance, babe
Take a chance along the way
You got one life to live
Dreams of today for another day ahead
If your heart weighs heavy
Then its time you headed your way
Oh yeah yeah
One day, time is up
Julie hangs the apron
Says goodbye, grabs her bag
And heads off to the station
Buys herself a one-way trip
On the six oclock express
Her heartbeat racing
I say take a chance, babe
Take a chance along the way
You got one life to live
Dreams of today for another day ahead
If your heart weighs heavy
Then its time you headed your way
If your heart weighs heavy
Then its time you headed your way
And I see so many people, so many dreams, yeah
Its got to be now or never
Oh yeah
Oh yeah yeah
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
Such little time ahead
Just a lone life to live, yeah
Its got to be now
Cause there aint no looking back
Cause there aint no looking back
Cause there aint no looking back
Cause there aint no looking back
Its a lone life to live
Its a lone life to live
Its a lone life to live
Its a lone life to live

The lyrics of The Box's song "Now or Never" are about taking chances and chasing after your dreams. The song opens with a mention of Julie, who is working at a café, wiping the counter. She reflects on the passing customers, who range from those driving small cars to pick-up trucks. As she gazes out the window and sees people with different dreams, the singer emphasizes the importance of taking advantage of the "now" and not waiting for some unforeseeable future, the "never". If your heart feels heavy, the song suggests that it's time to take control of your life and follow your passions.
Later in the song, the singer mentions that Julie is tired of waiting and departs from her job, purchasing a ticket for the six o'clock train express. The repetition of the line "take a chance, babe" reinforces that risk-taking is essential for creating the life you want. The song's repetition emphasizes the message that it's pivotal to be conscious of your time and not hesitate to make changes.
Overall, The Box's "Now or Never" is an educational song with positive and inspirational lyrics encouraging one to go after their dreams and follow their aspirations.
