Time To Change
The Brady Bunch Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sha na na na na na na na na
Sha na na na na
Sha na na na na na na na na
Sha na na na na

Autumn turns to winter
And winter turns to spring
It doesn't go just for seasons you know
It goes for everything

The same is true for voices
When boys begin to grow
You gotta take a lesson from Mother Nature
And if you do you'll know

When it's time to change (when it's time to change)
Don't fight the tide, go along for the ride
Don't ya see
When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange
Who you are and what you're gonna be

Sha na na na na na na na na
Sha na na na na
Sha na na na na na na na na na
Sha na na na na

Day by day you're facing the changes you've been through
A little bit of living, a little bit of growing all adds up to you
Every boy's a man inside
A girl a woman too

And if you want to reach your destiny
Then here's what you can do

I have seen every Brady Bunch episode at least 20 times in my life.
This episode is ultimately my all-time favorite Brady Bunch episode!
I even have the record
The Brady Bunch-Time To Change.
The only problem with the record is that it's a different take than what we are all custom to hearing on the TV show because it doesn't include Peter Brady's voice changing part during the chorus of the song. But it's still a major classic!

Of course in the first few seasons of The Brady Bunch show,
Marcia Brady was always the obvious.
But if you take a good look at Jan Brady during the last few seasons of the show before the show was canceled, you are missing a lot because she had grown up and "out" and blew Marcia Brady away in my opinion opinion.
The next time you see a Brady Bunch episode that was made in 1972, and both Jan and Marsha are in the same episode, just check it out and you'll see Jan Brady had moved past Marcia Brady. Very nice!
