This record "That Was Yesterday" by the British Walkers was actually released in early 1967.

This recording was written by me when I was with the Chartbusters. The British Walkers were produced by Bobby Poe at the time. When "Shake" was recorded, a "B" side was needed. "That Was Yesterday" was used. This recording is all Chartbusters and I'm singing lead. On a side note, before joining the Chartbusters, I had a brief stint as guitarist with the British Walkers after Roy Buchannon left the group. I hope you enjoyed this song. It is my favorite of all the songs I wrote while in the band. It was also one of the fastest songs I ever wrote. It took me about half an hour.

Cool. Thanks for the back story. I love finding these 45's but even better is how finding out how they exist to begin with.

Dave Vardon

Omg, you can certainly tell that the "Chartbusters" wrote that song

This is not the British Walkers.  It is the Chartbusters with the Willett Brothers (Charles and Tom) singing.  Bobby Howard had quit the Walkers.  Circa 1967 as I recall.

Roy Buchanan was the guitarist.

String break saves it. Typical clueless mash up of styles with Philadelphia production cues of the time throughout.
