I knew Bush Dogs existed but I didn't know about their adaptations. They seem more like giant minks in the face, also the fact that they're semi-aquatic, webbed feet, can go after prey in the water. Convergent evolution is always interesting.

Fun fact: the reason they look more like wolverines or badgers to some people is because they are actually the most basal living genus of canine; that is to say they are the most primitive living dog and at the very bottom of their family tree.
Also of note is that Western scientists first recognized the animal from pleistocene (ice age)-dated fossils and assumed it to be an extinct genus, until living specimens of the modern species were described many years later.

my friend had a dog that would retrieve the exact rock you threw into the lake...he could do it with anything that would sink like a screwdriver or a metal rod...of course sticks would float but that was to easy for him...it was the rocks that he found under like ten feet of water that just amazed me...he must have been smelling them under water

Jill Sacsayhuaman Oh dear! That’s not good. I take my two to the groomers. I have a bad back so bending over the bathtub isn’t an option anymore. The groomer says they are well behaved. I bet I would have to struggle with them. They are the boss of me! The biggest who is 45 lbs had never been on grass when I adopted him. He still hates to go outside if the ground is damp.
