They released 2 independent CD's before signing to Atlantic records in 2001.
The Buzzhorn worked with producer Howard Benson (Papa Roach, P.O.D., Cold, Hoobastank) on their major label debut Disconnected
The Buzzhorn's major label debut brought them great praise for bringing a fresh approach to the hard rock world, with quotes from Hit Parader magazine labeling The Buzzhorn as "the new hard rock rookies of the year" as well as a 4 star review from metal edge magazine.
The Buzzhorn has toured with Seether, Injected, Deftones, Default, Jerry Cantrell as well as many other groups in support of Disconnected.
The Buzzhorn has currently fulfilled their obligation with Atlantic Records and are searching for a new label to call home.
The Buzzhorn has a song on the video game "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2" called "Ordinary". The band split in 2003 after completing their contract with Atlantic Records. Following the completion of the band's contract, Joseph moved to California and now works on projects and producing acts. Zweber joined a local Milwaukee band called King Gun made up of former members of the Milwaukee hard rock act Big Dumb Dick. King Gun only released a three song demo in 2004. The lead singer of King Gun reformed Big Dumb Dick in early 2008 and has recruited Bert as their new guitarist replacing Paris Ortiz.

Yeah you, Holy Man, and nothing
Oh and help them, Holy Man, to rake the rocks off of their heads
Holy Man, just like me
And oh, you're not like me (you're not like me)
But you, oh, can help me to be
Yeah you, Holy Man, and nothing
Oh and help them, Holy Man, to raise their hearts above their heads
Holy Man, just like me
And oh, you're not like me (you're not like me)
But you, oh, can help me to be
When, oh, it's much bigger, oh, than I understand
Will I walk on the water
If you hold my hand
Oh hey, Holy Man, so lucky
Yeah you, Holy Man, and nothing
Oh and help them, Holy Man, to raise their hearts above their heads
Holy Man, just like me
And oh, you're not like me (you're not like me)
But you, oh, can help me to be
When, oh, it's much bigger, oh, than I understand
Will I walk on the water
If you hold my hand
Oh hey, yeah, much bigger
Oh, oh yeah
Oh, much bigger
'Cause I, I understand
Oh hey, Holy Man, oh
Oh hey, Holy Man, oh
Oh hey, Holy Man, oh
Oh, hey
The lyrics to The Buzzhorn's song "Holy Man" are essentially a conversation between the singer and a Holy Man character. The singer views the Holy Man as a figure who has it all - luck, loneliness, and an ability to help others. The singer sees themselves in the Holy Man and longs to be able to rise above their problems just like the Holy Man seems to be able to do. There's a sense of admiration and a desire for guidance that's evident throughout the lyrics.
The repetition of "Oh, you're not like me" followed by "But you, oh, can help me to be" creates a theme of seeking guidance and assistance in order to become a better version of oneself. There's also a sense of faith and questioning. The line "Will I walk on the water/If you hold my hand" echoes the famous biblical story of Peter walking on water with the help of Jesus. The singer is questioning whether they'll be able to overcome challenges with the help of the Holy Man just like Peter did with Jesus.
Overall, the lyrics to "Holy Man" are about seeking guidance, overcoming difficulties, and having faith in something bigger than oneself.
