Ollie's cha cha

Sol y Sombra aeh Papa
Kanela
Oh eah eah

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Sol y Sombra" by The Cat Empire tells the story of a couple expressing their love for each other through dance. The two people are represented by the lyrics "Sol y Sombra aeh Mama" and "Sol y Sombra aeh Papa," who dance along with the rhythm of a cha cha. The words "sol y sombra" mean sun and shadow in Spanish, which could indicate the different sides of a person like happiness and sadness. This can be seen as the dancers shift between happy and energetic movements to slow and emotional ones in the song. The repeated "eah eah eah" and "Oh eah eah" create the mood of the dance party, making it easier for listeners to visualize the scene.

If you like really cool piano solos, have you heard of Ben Folds? Different vibe in general but some songs have a definite jazz influence and all the piano is very impressive. I recommend starting with "One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces"

you should listen to the piano solo in the song ''Anymore''

As guitar player, I would love that the cat empire had this instrument in his set, but I must admit they work extremely good as they do, and that there's no room for a guitar here. It's kind of a contradictory feeling.

Hahah, man, i listen to them for about ten years, and I always have this feeling. Though they have guitar in some songs - "the rhythm" and "down at the 303"
