Went to the fortune teller
I went to see a psychic for guidance.

To have my fortune read
I wanted to know what the future holds for me.

I didn't what to tell her
I was hesitant and unsure of what to confide in her.

I had a dizzy feeling in my head
I was overwhelmed and confused.

Said she'd take a look at my palm
She offered to read my palm as a way of revealing my future.

Said 'Son, do you feel kind of warm?'
She asked if I felt any emotional connection or attraction to someone.

And she looked into her crystal ball
She used a crystal ball as a magical tool to gain insight.

Said 'You're in love'
She told me that I had fallen in love with someone.

Said it could not be so
I dismissed her prediction since I believed it to be impossible.

Not with all the girls I know
I was certain that I couldn't be in love since I wasn't interested in anybody.

Said when the next one arrives
She told me that I would fall in love with the next woman I meet.

Looking into her eyes
She emphasized that eye contact will be how I recognize my true love.

I left there in a hurry
I quickly left the psychic's place.

Much to my big surprise
I was shocked by the prediction.

The next thing I discovered
I discovered something unexpected later on.

The fortune teller told me lies
I found out that the psychic's prediction was untrue.

So I ran back to that woman
I went back to confront the psychic.

Mad as I could be
I was furious and indignant.

Told her I didn't see nobody
I denied that I ever met anyone the psychic predicted for me.

How she made a fool out of me
I was angry that I was made a fool of by believing the false prediction.

At last something shook me
Finally, something happened that caught my attention.

As if it came down from above
It felt like divine intervention.

And now the fortune teller
Ironically, the psychic is now the object of my affection.

And I fell in love
I realized that the psychic was the one I was meant to be with.
