@Master - That bully was left behind so many times he was three years older than the rest of us, 6 foot 200 lbs & for a kid he had muscles on top of muscles. The only kid he didn't mess with was a kid who trained as a professional boxer, who was lightning fast, accurate with his fists & strong. Later went on to win state middleweight championships.

No, Master, I don't think you'd fare too well against either of them at that time.

By the way, his bullying wasn't mean spirited, he just teased. Most tough guys at school stayed away from you if you were friends with him. He didn't torment anyone. He was our source for cigarettes & rides though. And if anyone pushed the girls around he'd visit you.

He was a lonely kid...no parent. He'd sit for hours on bus stop benches just watching traffic all day.

As for the classic instrumentals of the 60's. This was spooky. It didn't need words. Great noir feeling. I had an English teacher back in the 60's who would put a song like this on the record player in class & tell us to shut our eyes & listen. Then she would play it again -- only this time she would ask to write what we saw in our minds as it played. I loved that teacher so much. The entire class was engaged. No one refused. Even the bully was scribbling away.

John LaStrada you had an awesome English teacher then man

@@stevenangel8235 Everyone should be so lucky to have a teacher like her. Wonder what became of her. And John... 8 years later.

@@zyrrhos - Ah, 8-years later & 8 years older. The teacher has since retired & I became a PR writer for ABC-TV. Now blissfully retired smoking Maduro cigars, listening to tons music, reading, & drinking Jack Daniels with friends (who are also writers & musicians).

Trying to invent a time machine to go back to the 60s. (If only). Curved air, spacetime continuum & all those theories. They say you could go back -- but you can't go forward.

Your name Bearded Jagger suggests someone who needs to go with us.

To me, this is and always will be the best rendition of this song. Used to live in Hawaii. This song brings back memories of watching surfers ride the big waves at "The Pipeline" at North Shore.

@christoJihad2

I never get tired of this song.
