I once used this video in a presentation for a Psychology class. The aim was to depict 'stress' in any way. Of course mine got the best grade. The whole classroom was amazed, the teacher loved me. Thanks Chemical Brothers, this is still sublime many years after.

At first I wouldn't think of it as stress, but I did notice one detail: The protagonist of the video has his arm in a cast as if he had an recent accident (almost in the style of the “Hey Boy, Hey Girl” videoclip in which it is the story of a girl who, as a child in a museum, suffered an accident in which a bone was broken and since she was treated in the hospital until adulthood, she sees everyone as skeletons) that caused him to generate those hallucinations. And it seems that the accident was an occupational accident since it is the machines (the assembly robots) that chase him.

I don't know this factory. I think, the robots in the video are protesting against the maintenance guy, becaus they get replaced by the ne ABB IRC5 robots, because them are the old ABB S4 from end from the 90's. They are now 20 years old but still very good. Greathfull engeneering by this Swedish manufactor and the RAPID robot language is very strong and still keeped in the newest ABB, only updated by new commands. But replacement part very expensive an no mor support by ABB.
I Love ABB 💕 There is no better robot 🏆 The German KUKA is 🤢 (and I say this as a German robot programmer. KUKA = Kraft Und Keine Ahnung)

И с точки зрения научного знания (имеющее сегодня наибольшие точность и предсказательную силу) нет превосходства в "лучшести" например этого клипа над творчеством Моргенштерна. Объективны только показатели популярности/прибыльности, ну и особые ценители могут сравнить вариативность мелодии, приемы в музыке, хотя сложнее не значит объективно лучше.
А насчет "на поверхности" - расскажите, что во времена восхождения рок-н-рола было на поверхности в СССР. Или вот у меня в 90х-начало нулевых на поверхности был Басков и Киркоров, "спасибо" семье за это.
Кроме того помните, что когда вы начинаете знакомство с чем-либо новым, все из этого нового интересно, на потом из-за пресыщения, вкус становится более избирательным
Единственно, что сегодня возможно, так это уменьшение качества творчества всех видов из-за более благополучной жизни "золотого миллиарда", который наиболее продуктивен количественно. Но о чем писать песню, если автор всем доволен? Но именно где-то с 2015 я открыл синтвейв, и открываю его до сих пор, так что брюзжать мне не счего)

after over 13 years i found it, i literally thought it was some kind of gillete commercial or a James Blunt clip because it always came along with this clip on mtv, but i searched "robot chase a man mtv" and found it funny that I literally remembered the machine breaking a mirror instead of a window and that it got into taxis and was chased. I also thought the robots were similar to the deadly giant robot from Civilization 5

in general, I always point to Chemical Brothers when it comes to milestones in music videos. That said, I hold Wide Open (FX, dancer) and Elektrobank (storytelling, direction) in very high regard and could not easily point at a "best" of those.
