Out of Control
The Chemical Brothers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We're out of control
Out of control
Out of control
Out of control
Out of control

Sometimes I feel that I'm misunderstood
The river's runnin' deep right through my blood
Your naked body's lying on the ground
You always get me up when I'm down

And it always seems we're runnin' out of time
The river's runnin' deep right through my blood
(The river's runnin' deep right through my blood)

And maybe that I'm just scared of losin' you
Or maybe it's the things you make me do

The record player keeps on
Turning round
It could be stuck or maybe
It's a sound
It seems to me we both should
Hang around

(Surrendering to love)

Out of control
We're out of control

We're out of control
(Out of control)

Out of control

(Like we're just so carefree and
Free-spirited and they don't give a
It's what's I love)

(Out of control)

Somehow you have to give in, you know
That's how we see it, surrender

(Out of control)

Overall Meaning

The Chemical Brothers’s song Out of Control is a gripping anthem that speaks to the powerful emotions associated with both love and loss. The lyrics are sung in a somber tone as the singer expresses feeling misunderstood and misunderstood. At the same time, the lyrics describe the intensity of the love he shares with his partner, with the river of love running deep through his veins. The lyrics also reveal the fear of losing something so precious and the lengths he will go to keep it.

The line "Your naked body's lying on the ground" screens the intensity of the emotion portrayed in the lyrics. This line may imply that the singer sees his partner as a source of relief for his pain and finds solace in the intimacy of their relationship. He acknowledges that they are running out of time, and this urgency adds to the feeling of desperation. The repeated “out of control” line in the chorus serves as a reminder of how intense and powerful love can be and how it can take over completely, leaving one unable to resist it.

Esta no es una simple canción fue un himno de fin de milenio para todos los que la escuchamos en aquel ya lejano 1999, encierra un mensaje, es mas que una canción, es una obra maestra

@Arc.hitectureMusic

this song means so much to me. As a musician it was my first introduction to analog synths, and got me into making music. It literally changed every preconception i had of music. 1999 was one hell of a year. every other year since hasnt compared to the creative output of that year, at least in my lifetime.

@twiztidyournutz

Put it upside down & backwards

@SyndicateOperative

Yeah, analogue synths blow my mind. It's a true art form.

@Arc.hitectureMusic

@@SyndicateOperative I was way over enthusiastic 13 years ago. I blame this track for getting into analog synths.

@joeflynn2830

This is absolutely a contender for Best Music Video of All Time in my books. Excellent concept. Subjectively interpretable. Sidesteps expectations. Works with the music so well. Beautifully executed.

@mauropacheco938

Uno de los clásicos de The Chemical Brothers e insuperable Bernard Sumner en los vocales, invitado de lujo!!

@ernesto1978

y puede ser que tambien participa Johnny Marr en guitarra?
