Setting Sun
The Chemical Brothers Lyrics
You're the devil in me
I brought in from the cold
You said your body was young
But your mind was very old
You're coming on strong and I like the way
The visions we had have faded away
You're part of a life I've never had
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
You're coming on strong
You're coming on strong
You're showing your color
Like a setting sun
You're the devil in me
I brought in from the cold
You said your body was young
But your mind was very old
You're coming on strong and I like the way
The visions we had have faded away
You're part of a life I've never had
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad
I'll tell you that it's just too bad

"Setting Sun"
You're the devil in me I brought in from the cold
You said your body was young but your mind was very old
You're coming on strong and I like the way
The visions we had have faded away
You're part of a life I've never had
I'll tell you now it's just too bad x5
You're coming on strong x2
You're showing your colour

@Ponda Baba I really feel the whole world and reality changed after 9/11
Then again in 2008 but worse.
Then again in 2016 but worse..
Then again in 2020 but worse.
Welcome to the future.

@mimosa27Ha, so true. Randomly stubbled upon these tracks I haven't listened to in years and feel this so much. I'll be 40 in 2 weeks! We were lucky to come of age back then, before shit got twisted.

@Ponda Baba A lot of people feel the same way. I've felt it acutely: a darkening in our reality. Could the Mayans have been right, just off a year or two? What happened in 2001 was a massive, massive collective trauma that affected everything. Music, film, politics.

Remember 1997? Remember all that great new electronic music? Dig your own hole, The fat of the land, Homework, Electro glide in blue? Amazing years.

If this wasn't a flashback from me getting home from a race in 1997 a little chemical brothers a little prodigy trying to eat, nope trying to sleep, nope trying to avoid eye contact with parents 😂 these were the days I was 17 and life was never so good
