You're the One That I Want
The Chicago Performers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I got chills, they're multiplyin', and I'm losin' control
'Cause the power you're supplyin', it's electrifyin'

You better shape up, 'cause I need a man, and my heart is set on you
You better shape up, you better understand, to my heart I must be true

Nothing left, nothing left for me to do
You're the one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh
The one I need (the one I need), oh yes indeed (yes indeed)

If you're filled with affection, 'n you're too shy to convey
Meditate my direction, feel your way

I better shape up, 'cause you need a man
I need a man, who can keep me satisfied
I better shape up, if I'm gonna prove
You better prove, that my fate is justified
Are you sure?
Yes I'm sure down deep inside

You're the one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh
The one I need (the one I need), oh yes indeed (yes indeed)

You're the one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh
The one I need (the one I need), oh yes indeed (yes indeed)

You're the one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh, honey
The one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh
The one I need (the one I need), oh yes indeed (yes indeed)

You're the one that I want (you are the one I want), ooh ooh ooh

Jennifer always puts in more than a 100% in all of her songs. She sings with passion like no other.

Unbelievable talent. Both of them, super job!

Peter Rech

Seems that no matter the song or duet artist, when Jennifer Nettles does a song it is always at least as good as the original. Just so good

I could watch the entire season all over again just to relive the greatness of Jennifer and her contestants. The other judges did not have a chance. Though their contestants we're good, Jennifer blended PERFECTLY with hers. From the chemistry to the voice. Man she sure can pick em. And she is one hell of a singer!

This should have been so boring but it wasn't AT ALL. Wow. I don't think I'll ever see a stage performance of Grease and be so utterly smitten with the people singing this song like I was just now.

Marco Ramirez

overthemoo exactly
