Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul
Frosty, the snowman, was a joyful and cheerful being.

With a corncob pipe and a button nose
Frosty had a corncob pipe and a button nose as his distinct features or attributes.

And two eyes made out of coal
Frosty's eyes were made out of coal.

Frosty the Snowman is a fairytale they say
Frosty is considered a legend or a myth by some people.

He was made of snow but the children know
Although Frosty was made of snow, the children believed in him.

How he came to life one day
They knew that Frosty came to life on a particular day.

There must have been some magic
Perhaps there was an enchantment or spell that made him come alive.

In that old silk hat they found
It seems that the old silk hat played a role in Frosty's animation.

For when they placed it on his head
As soon as they put the hat on his head,

He began to dance around
Frosty started dancing.

Frosty the Snowman was alive as he could be
Frosty was very much alive and vibrant.

And the children say he could laugh and play
According to the children, Frosty was capable of laughing and having fun, like any other child.

Just the same as you and me, come on
He was not different from any one of us and could share in the joys of life like everyone else.

Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump
Frosty was moving and making a rhythmic sound.

Look at Frosty go
Frosty was moving remarkably fast, and people were watching his unique ways.

Over the hills of snow
Frosty moved along the snowy hills with such ease.

Oh Frosty the Snowman knew the sun was hot that day
Frosty was aware that it was a hot day, and he could feel his body melting.

So he said, "Let's run and we'll have some fun
To avoid melting away, Frosty advised, for them to run and have some fun.

Now before I melt away
Frosty had to act fast if he wanted to have fun before melting away.

Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand
Frosty carried a broomstick as he strolled into the village.

Running here and there, all around the square
Frosty was running about, moving in different directions around the square.

Sayin', "Catch me if you can!"
Frosty was playing catch with anyone willing to try.

He led them down the streets of town
Frosty became the leader, and people followed his lead as he moved down the town's streets.

Right to the traffic cop
He went straight to the traffic cop like he knew where he was going.

And he only paused a moment
Frosty briefly stopped in that location.

When he heard him holler, "Stop!"
When Frosty heard the traffic cop shout stop, he knew it was time to move on.

Hey, Frosty the Snowman had to hurry on his way
Frosty discovered it was time to hurry, so he set off at his own pace.

But he waved goodbye, sayin', "Don't you cry
Frosty found time to reach out and wave goodbye before his departure, telling people there was no need to cry.

I'll be back again some day"
Frosty left people with the hope and a promise that he would return someday.

He'll be back, yes he will, again someday
Frosty's promise of return was never in doubt and was a source of hope and happiness for everyone.

See you next year Frosty!
In anticipation of his return, everyone was already saying goodbye to him, hoping to see him again next year.
