I saw these programs with the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem in Chicago on Channel 11 (WTTW) when I was a kid...and I fell in love with the boys and with Irish music, a love which has lasted me through the years.  The "boys" are all gone now but it's so good to see these old programs of them when they were young and full of hell.

@Pamela Rasmussen I've been a fan since 1962.

@edejan  Oh yes, I agree!  I, too, grew up with WTTW - and my Dad (mostly Swedish!) loving these guys.  I can still hear him singing along with them all those years ago!  I passed these songs on to my sons and I still adore listening and watching the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem!

It still feels unreal they're all gone. Ok, I thought I'd get through just one song without tearing-up, this wasn't the song I thought would do it though. I wasn't even a year old when this was made but there are many stills of this gather in one of my dads old photo albums! Rest in peace uncle Tommy & to the boys as well, you are dearly missed! I saw them live in 1985 or 1986. This is a fantastic colleciton of videos. Thank you for posting them.

Well, Tom and Paddy sure seem like they're having fun in this one!

And I have to add - thank you sooo much for all these videos.  I am truly enjoying them and will be returning again and again ............

This song is one of my favourites. Oh, how I wish I understood, and could speak, gaelic. Alas, no such luck for an old swede.
