While touring in support of their full-length album Albatross, the band created the Acoustic EP: Seattle Sessions, which was simply a compilation of songs they created while on the road.
Their next album, 'The Silver Cord', was released on July 22, 2008. With the album being based on the realities of life and death, it signals a move into an alternative genre for TCC. Exactly 5805 copies of 'The Silver Cord' were sold in the first week. 5805 is a significant number because it is a song title on the album and it is the address of the house where the band formed and began to break out.
In 2010, 'Vagabonds' was released.
One Man Army

Been sleeping for days in this comatose state
I’ve been unalive
Prone to hide from the messes that I’ve made
I’ve been unalive
I used to let you fight the battles before me
But now I stand alone to prove you right
I used to let you fight the giants before me
But now I stand alone by a fire where I burn my plans to warm me
I’ve been unalive
I used to let you fight
But now I stand alone
I used to let you fight
But now I stand alone
Alone, alone, alone
The song 'One Man Army' by The Classic Crime is a reflection of the struggle of an individual who has been inactive and unproductive. The first verse of the song begins with the lyrics "I’ve been unalive, Been sleeping for days in this comatose state." These words embody a sense of inertia and lethargy in the individual's life. He has been using his solitude and isolation as a defense mechanism to hide from the consequences of his own actions. In the past, he would depend on others, particularly someone he used to let fight his battles, but now he chooses to stand alone to validate the person who had faith in him.
The chorus of the song comprises the lines "Just a one-man army, I used to let you fight the giants before me, But now I stand alone by a fire where I burn my plans to warm me." The singer of the song has become a 'one-man army', which indicates that he is ready to face the challenges on his own. He has stopped relying on others and is prepared to confront his fears and tackle the problems himself. By burning his plans to warm himself, he signifies that he is no longer pursuing a specific objective or plan but is instead utilizing his strength to fight his battles. The song reveals that the singer has come out of his shell to discover himself, and now he is ready to face the world on his own.
