Who Needs Air
The Classic Crime Lyrics
I long to taste adventure like the nature of the sea
Always moving, always hiding, all the creatures from beneath
Singing silent songs of sadness, my heart waits for its chance
To dance upon the ashes of my burned up little plans
And I stand alone before the night
My nakedness is so clear in the glow of the moonlight
Life is old but so short
We are young, we want more
Because when you got what I got, what I got
Who needs air? I don't need air
My addiction too danger like the rush of the sea
Like a wave on the rocks, the lessons crash down on me
I don't need to prove the world to you, only to myself
So step back, look away as I dive into the swell
I'm drowning but I don't care
Because when you got what I got, what I got
Who needs air?
So take me down to the river like a little child
And take my hand and tell me it's okay to be wild
I never knew the world until I saw through your eyes
I never knew myself until I ripped off my disguise
I'm drowning but I don't care
Because when you got what I got, what I got
Who needs air?
I'm drowning
(I have come to the realization that)
But I don't care
(Life is more than what I have accomplished and)
Because when you got what I got, what I got
(Life is more then the realization that)
Who needs air?
(We have accomplished nothing at all)
I'm drowning
(True success is so selfless so drown in the)
But I don't care
(Lyrics of your life and give up the air that you breathe)
Because when you got what I got, what I got
(You don't need anything)
I don't need air
(You don't need anything)
I don't need air

The Classic Crime is a Seattle-based alternative rock band. They released their Tooth & Nail debut album, 'Albatross', in 2006. It marked the fastest first-week sales for a new artist in the history of T&N. The band members are Matt MacDonald (vocals), Justin DuQue (guitar), Robert "Cheeze" Negrin (guitar), Alan Clark (bass), and Paul "Skip" Erickson (drums).
While touring in support of their full-length album Albatross, the band created the Acoustic EP: Seattle Sessions, which was simply a compilation of songs they created while on the road. Their next album, 'The Silver Cord', was released on July 22, 2008. With the album being based on the realities of life and death, it signals a move into an alternative genre for TCC. Exactly 5805 copies of 'The Silver Cord' were sold in the first week. 5805 is a significant number because it is a song title on the album and it is the address of the house where the band formed and began to break out.
In 2010, 'Vagabonds' was released.

Why do people always have online arguments? This is a good song listen to it and shut up.
Chelsea Johnson
Wow, this is the first time I've heard of this band. This song is epic.
Cole Hintermeister
+Chelsea Johnson I've never heard of them until like last week. I'm so confused as to why. This is amazing.
Rohan Sinha
I've loved them for years and I just heard this today. Check out Flight of Kings , its one of my other favourites by them. Heavier than this but great lyrics and tight drums and vocals.

God is always there, just hold up faith. He always loves. He's always there. He has limitless mercy. God is good, all the time.

I haven't heard this album since 2006, and it suddenly came back to me today.
These guys are so much better than they ever had the chance to be.
