When I'm Gone
The Click Five Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Dear love
Better sit down
Bad news
Get the word out
Accidents come with conclusions

I'm numb
On the asphalt
Don't cry
Wasn't your fault
I can't feel
It's just confusion
Keep on, keep on, keep on, when I'm gone

When the lights are out
Don't be sad for long
When I'm gone
And the lights are out
I'll be shining on
I'm just gonna let my life bleed on this letter
Let my song sing on forever
I'll still love you when I'm gone

Tear drops
Paint the faces
Despair
Is contagious
Dressed in black
Clutching a red rose
Hold on, hold on, hold on, my love goes on

When the lights are out
Don't be sad for long
When I'm gone
And the lights are out
I'll be shining on
I'm just gonna let my life bleed on this letter
Let my song sing on forever
I'll still love you when I'm gone

When the lights are out
Don't be sad for long
When I'm gone
And the lights are out
I'll be shining on
I'm just gonna let my life bleed on this letter
Let my song sing on forever
I'll still love you when I'm gone

When the lights are out
Don't be sad for long
When I'm gone
And the lights are out
I'll be shining on
I'm just gonna let my life bleed on this letter

Let me song sing on forever
I'll still love you when I'm gone

I used to loved this song a loooooooooooooot because it's just so sad like the lyrics and everything just sad but awesome and it gives me a feeling of "the end is finally here but dont cry for me" and I would just want to cry

Now I listened to this song it gives me the exact same feeling as before, but even sadder.. because the band is gone. I can literally cry just listening to this song. It's so hard to believe it's been 2 years. I miss Kyle and I miss The Click Five.

They will be forever in my heart. And their songs will sing on forever.

wow! i actually LIKE the click five now! i didnt like them before because the lead singer had such a squeeky voice, and it was too pop-ish... and i dont like pop... but with this new lead singer, i think it gives the band more of a rocker edge to it. i wouldnt eve call it power-pop, id rather call it rock-pop. so thank you Kyle, for giving this band a new life, and making me one of ur number 1 fans!!!

@JmelBst

Are you still a fan now?
