The Corrs have released seven studio albums and numerous singles that have achieved Platinum status in several countries. They have sold an estimated 40 million albums worldwide. Their most successful album, "Talk on Corners," reached multi-Platinum certification in Australia and became the highest-selling album of the year in the United Kingdom. The band is among a small number of artists who have held the top two positions simultaneously in the UK album charts, with "Talk on Corners" at number one and "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" at number two. In Australia, "Talk on Corners" was the third highest-selling album of the year. Their third studio album, "In Blue," reached number one in seventeen countries.
The Corrs have received two Grammy Award nominations and one BRIT Award, and were honored with MBEs in 2005 in recognition of their contributions to music and charitable work. They have participated in various philanthropic initiatives, including performances at The Prince's Trust event in 2004 and Live 8 in 2005.
The band was on hiatus for nearly a decade while Jim and Caroline focused on raising families and Andrea and Sharon pursued solo careers alongside family life. According to Sharon, it was uncertain whether the group would reunite. In early 2015, speculation about a reunion emerged, and in a June 2015 radio interview with Chris Evans, Andrea confirmed that the Corrs were working on a new album and would perform at that year's BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park festival. Their sixth studio album, "White Light," was released on 27 November 2015 and was followed by a European tour. Their seventh studio album, "Jupiter Calling," was released on 10 November 2017.

And the night, and the night is yours alone
When you think you've had enough of this life
Well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurtsSometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night, hold on (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (hold on, hold on)
If you're sure you've had too much of this life
Hang on
'Cause everybody hurts sometimes
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don't blow your hands, oh, no
Don't blow your hands
If you feel like you're alone
No, no, no, you're not alone
If you're on your own in this life
And the days and nights are long
If you're sure you've had too much of this life
To hang on
Yeah, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries sometimes
Everybody hurts sometimesYeah, everybody hurts sometimes
So, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on
'Cause no, you're not alone
Thank you
The Corrs' song "Everybody Hurts" is a poignant reminder that everyone faces challenges and struggles at some point in their lives. The lyrics suggest a time of darkness and despair, where the singer feels overwhelmed and alone in their pain.
The opening lyrics "When your day is long, and the night is yours alone" establishes a sense of isolation and vulnerability. The singer feels like they are the only ones going through a tough time, and that nobody else could possibly relate to their pain.
However, the song quickly dispels that notion, with the chorus declaring "Cause everybody hurts, sometimes." This phrase serves as a comforting reminder that pain is a universal human experience, and that everyone, at some point, feels overwhelmed, sad, or hopeless.
The song encourages listeners to hold on, to not give up, and to seek solace in their friends and loved ones. It recognizes that sometimes life is hard, sometimes everything is wrong, and sometimes, we just need to cry it out. But the message of the song is clear: despite the difficulties of life, we are not alone in our struggles, and we will get through it together.

Ain't life weird. I was just going to write "I love this song", but 2 days ago, the last person to comment, said those exact words! I honestly believe this is one of the best songs ever written, and this is the best version of this tremendously beautiful song. I have had a lot of problems, including, and mainly my health. I can't find a doctor who can find out what is causing my extreme pain on my left side. I have been to many, many doctors over the years, but the constant pain continues. I have an appointment on May 10, 2022 with another doctor. Anyone who is religious if you could pray for me, I would be grateful. (sorry to bring up my troubles, but I need someone to talk to) Thank you for your time.

My dad who also had serious pain for some time, and multiple doctors at different hospitals couldn't find it, till one night, he fell and couldn't walk anymore, it turns out he had Kahler's disease. It's apparently hard to spot, and most of the time to late. It's a form of cancer, where your bone structure gets affected, and it causes holes, and can eventually snap your bones. I don't know any of your issues, but maybe you can bring it up to your doctor! Probably, it isn't this at all, just want to share my experience, in the slimmest chance of helping you!

This is a song about hope. When life is hard, you shall not give up. And I think the Corrs really brings it out. Doesn't have to be pain in the voice, the voice can bring out the hope instead. Show that life is beautiful, despite trouble.
My oldest son said some beautiful words, only 3 years old after our family had a miscarriage. I was driving him back to preschool and we where all pretty sad, he said:
-"Look daddy! The sun is shining and the birds are singing!..."
And that's what life is all about, you must have the strength to move on even if its hard, there is always beauty out there. And the Corrs, REM and this song really mediates this. (I probably listened to this song at that moment. And later my oldest son got two younger brothers). I love REMs version of cause, but this cover is definitely a worthy contribution. (my top 3 songs, all times, Bad U2, Everybody hurts REM, then comes...?) This song has given me comfort ever since it was released, ages ago. Definitely a song about hope. Good job REM (and the Corrs).
