The Corrs have released seven studio albums and numerous singles that have achieved Platinum status in several countries. They have sold an estimated 40 million albums worldwide. Their most successful album, "Talk on Corners," reached multi-Platinum certification in Australia and became the highest-selling album of the year in the United Kingdom. The band is among a small number of artists who have held the top two positions simultaneously in the UK album charts, with "Talk on Corners" at number one and "Forgiven, Not Forgotten" at number two. In Australia, "Talk on Corners" was the third highest-selling album of the year. Their third studio album, "In Blue," reached number one in seventeen countries.
The Corrs have received two Grammy Award nominations and one BRIT Award, and were honored with MBEs in 2005 in recognition of their contributions to music and charitable work. They have participated in various philanthropic initiatives, including performances at The Prince's Trust event in 2004 and Live 8 in 2005.
The band was on hiatus for nearly a decade while Jim and Caroline focused on raising families and Andrea and Sharon pursued solo careers alongside family life. According to Sharon, it was uncertain whether the group would reunite. In early 2015, speculation about a reunion emerged, and in a June 2015 radio interview with Chris Evans, Andrea confirmed that the Corrs were working on a new album and would perform at that year's BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park festival. Their sixth studio album, "White Light," was released on 27 November 2015 and was followed by a European tour. Their seventh studio album, "Jupiter Calling," was released on 10 November 2017.

And I knew there's something different
Saw you in a brand new way
Like the clouds had somehow lifted
And if yesterday I heard
Myself saying these words
I would swear it was a lie
I don't know why, but suddenly I'm falling
(Na na na, na na na na na)
Was I so blind
I was loving you all the time
Now I'm hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted
I'll make a wish this day
And I'll send it to the heavens
That we will always stay
Entwined like this forever
And though the world may change
'Cause nothing stays the same
I know we will survive
I don't know why, but suddenly I'm falling
(Na na na, na na na na na)
Was I so blind
I was loving you all the time
Now I'm hopelessly addicted
Naturally we acted
I don't know why, but suddenly I'm falling
(Na na na, na na na na na)
I was so blind
I was loving you all the timeAnd now I'm
Hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted
(Na na na, na na na na na)
Chemically reacted
I was loving you all the time
Hopelessly addicted
Helplessly attracted
Chemically reacted
Naturally we acted
Yeah, oh
The lyrics to The Corrs' song "Hopelessly Addicted" reflect the sudden realization of a great love that has always been there, but for some reason has gone unnoticed until now. It is as if the singer's eyes have been opened to a new world, where nothing else matters but the person they have come to love. The opening lines of the song suggest this newfound clarity, with the singer stating that they have seen their love interest "in a brand new way" and that "the clouds had somehow lifted". The chorus then drives home the point that the singer is hopelessly addicted to this person, who they had been loving all along without realizing it.
The song is highly emotive, as the singer expresses both their intense feelings of love and the fear that comes with such vulnerability. In the second verse, they make a wish that they will always stay entwined forever, acknowledging that the world may change but that they will "survive" because of their love. The final chorus brings together all of the emotions and instincts that have been building up throughout the song, with the singer acknowledging that they are chemically and naturally reacting to this love - they are helplessly attracted and hopelessly addicted to it.
